NEAG-1 FULL FIELD DEVELOPMENT / SHORT TERM UPGRADES (Onshore Brownfield Project):

Original NEAG-1 Full Field Development scope has been expanded with short Term Upgrade of pre-installed Early Production Facilities (EPF) into an integrated permanent Oil Processing Plant to increase capacity to 30, 000bod gross production with net oil production of 12, 000bod. This upgrade includes the construction, Commissioning and Assistance during the start-up of Water path heaters, 3-phase Separators (2-stages separation), Water degasser, gas boot, knock-out drum and new flare stack, Open and close drains including the underground GRE networks, Fire fighting (water, deluge and foam) system, Oil storage tanks, Fuel Diesel system…etc.

• Lead a technical team (i.e. Mechanical Engineers and QA/QC team) during the Engineering reviews, Work preparation, Mobilization, Execution of the work and Handover to the operations.
• Monitor and Control Project activities/achievements in accordance with the planned milestones and the contractual obligations in areas such as safety, technical requirements, cost…etc.
• Managed the project interfaces among other departments (e.g. Operations dept. during the commissioning, start-up and Projects to assets handover).
• Strong focus of the project safety starting from design phase conducting Hazard Operability (HAZOP) and Human Factors Engineering (HFE) and during the execution carrying out Hazards Identification (HAZID) for each work package and Tasks Risk Assessments (TRA) for each activity.
• Identify the project related shutdown scope, work out the shutdown plan and interfaces with the project planner and Operations focal personnel. Assure proper readiness for the shutdown work to eliminate potential delays which can cause production deferments.
• For the new wells (Oil, Water Source or Water Injection wells), Work with Engineering team and Civil department to identify the suitable flow line routes and hock-up arrangements. Then assure proper work planning, Material and Equipment availability and safe work execution.
• Work with the QA/QC team to prepare for the Project to Assets facilities handover to Operations by preparing the As-built and Handover Dossiers, Attending the systems walk through, Clearing the punch lists and signing the handover certificates.

Assil and Karam (A&K) Gas Development Project (Onshore Greenfield/Brownfield Project):

The A&K project was a joint development by Shell, Gaz De France and VEGAS Oil & Gas for operation by Badr El-Din Petroleum Co. (BaPetCo). The A&K Gas field are in Desert location 300km west of Cairo, Egypt. The produced gas from Assil (4 wellheads) and Karam (6 wellheads) were planned top flew through dedicated pipelines (approx. 15 and 28 km respectively) for processing at newly built CO2 removal plant (CRP) adjacent to BED-3 existing facilities to condition the gas from the fields to reduce the CO2 contents to the acceptable limit before further processing through BED-3 existing facilities. (Project CAPEX ~ 450MMUSD)

• Review the Engineering deliverables and participate into design reviews, HAZOPs, HFEs.
• Manage the contractors onsite (Mainly ENPPI and PETROJET) during the Project execution (i.e. Construction, Pre-Commissioning, commissioning and start-up).
• Manage the pipelines, flow lines and hock-ups installation, pre-commissioning and start-up for the new gas wells.
• Prepare and supervise all the tie-in work packages of the Brown Field Modifications and total shutdown scope related to the project including all the relevant mechanical work interfaces between the Operations, Projects and the EPC contractor.
• Review the handover packages and as built dossiers submitted by the EPC contractor during the RFSU stage.
• Work with BAPETCO Operations Readiness and Assurance (ORA) team to facilitate the Project to Asset handover in accordance to Shell DEP Standards.
• Assure regular progress monitoring and reporting for the ongoing work concentrating on the agreed milestones and reporting all the concerns affecting the target completion dates.
• Integration of lesson learned from previous project phases into the new engineering work and during the execution.
