Key member of ADGAS Management team applying diverse management and technical knowledge and experience.
Plan, direct, coordinate and manage all Maintenance/production activities of the entire Das LNG complex, comprising Process, Utilities, OAG and Storage, loading & Export facilities. Support production and shipment of 8.5 million tones of liquefied natural petroleum gases, products and sulphur annually as well as transferring of 200MMSCF/day of gases to Abu Dhabi grid.
Agree and set corporate objectives of Maintenance Division performance targets. Set and manage appropriate strategies in order to translate company missions into measurable Divisional activities and KPI's.
Ensure that productions targets are met, the Plant is maintained safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies, objectives and customer quality standards.
Plan, direct and supervise Maintenance activities within LNG, LPG, Paraffinic Naphtha and Sulphur Production Trains, 2 trains of offshore associated gases (OAG) transferring Gases to on shore through 117 Km 30" subsea pipeline. In addition to Power plant including (generators driven by 4 Gas turbines and 2 steam turbines), Desalination units and sea water intakes.
Ensure that plant is safely maintained in line with up to date Engineering and Maintenance standard and practices, HSE regulations and company targets. This includes directing and controlling multi discipline teams to meet all target key objectives with a focus on improved integrity reliability, availability and condition monitoring. Involved in setting company targets, maintenance policy and monitor compliance.
Carrie out proactive review of all equipment in the plant with focus on poor performers, bad actors and recommends solutions/modifications. Enforce the behavior of continuous improvement within the team.
Provide technical input to plant modifications, major projects and technical studies.
Monitor teams for material management to ensure availability of necessary spares for properly maintain plant equipments. Set the Department training requirements and development programs and administrates the implementation. Prepares capital, major revenue and operating budgets. Attend necessary meetings to clarify and justify the proposed schemes until obtaining approval. Controls the budget expenditure and aims for saving. Control and direct maintenance activities and major overhauls to be completed within set time and budget. Coordinate, supervise and direct contractors, vendors and consultants for special services.

Direct and supervise activities in the Development Engineering Department. This include preparation of detail procedures, guidelines, targets, plans, .etc for multi discipline teams. Ensure targets are met at the established level of Management. Ensure that modifications are properly studied, progressed and implemented to the best Engineering codes & practices. This has also to comply with company guidelines and to the service agreement set by Management. Supervise the preparation of Statement of requirements, technical prequalification, bids evaluation and work performed by Contractors/Consultants. Supervise the preparation of annual budget dossier and participates in several meeting regarding screening and approval of schemes. Keep Engineering standards/specifications updated. Identify the training needs and development plans of the personnel in the Department. Co-ordinate with Shareholders in relation to engineering technical assistance, views exchange and specialist engineering studies. Perform any other related or similar duties assigned by Management such as conducting special studies, preparing discussion papers and briefing documents for presentation, and keep abreast on new developments in engineering fields
March 1991 - Feb. 2002 Senior Development Engineer (M&S) (ADGAS)
Supervise a team of Mechanical, Civil & Structural Engineers, Drawing office, Data management section and Construction team. Ensure that Engineering and construction of modifications are carried out to the best Engineering codes, standards and company practices. This includes general review of design packages, statements of requirements, material requirements, pre-qualifications of contractors and technical bid evaluations. Conduct and chair HAZOP meetings attend and present modifications and project schemes to management through HSE review meetings. Conduct K.O. meetings, regular construction progress review meetings, etc. to ensure progress of the assigned schemes is in target. Necessary liaison with Management, other Departments with different disciplines such as HSE Department, Corrosion and inspection, reliability, etc. to ensure that assigned work are acceptable to all concerned parties. Prepare annual CAPEX and Major REVEX budget for the work planned in the Department. Carry out assigned special activities by Management. Act as Department head in his absence.
April 1987 - March 1991 Development Engineer (ADGAS)
Reporting to Senior Development Engineer. Responsible to progress design of modifications related to LNG plant, from start up to commissioning. This includes conduct and minute DOR meeting, progress necessary design, stress analysis using autopipe then CAE pipe software, Liaise with other disciplines (instruments, electrical & civil) for the preparation of comprehensive design packages. Coordinate with drawing office and provide necessary guidance to draftsman to produce design drawings and review prior to issue to respective Departments for approval, discuss and clear received comments with respective parties, . Reserve necessary material, Prepare Statement of Requirement for contract documents, carried out technical evaluation, technical clarification to bidders and followed up to contract award. Review studies and design packages carried out by external parties and advise comments.
Attend HAZOP meetings and act as secretary, Prepare write up and attend "What if" and HSE review meetings to get approval of management for Issue for construction. Supervise and direct Construction team, provide guidance during implementation and solve any design problem encountered during implementation. Carry out pre-commissioning checks with other relative Department and assist Operations in commissioning the modifications.
Main Projects carried out: Modification to loading arms to install PERCs, Spiking of Pentane to ADMA-OPCO (sister company on Das island), Pentane shilling project, De-bottlenecking of plant 2, Overpressure protection of plant 3, active fire protection at Jetty. etc.

1984-1987 Process area, Reporting to Maintenance Superintendent, Responsible for the day to day maintenance of the process area, pumps, storage tanks, turbines, columns, refrigeration system, K.O. drums, Exchangers, Filters, .etc.. Follow up work assigned to supervisors, problem solving, solve problems of material availability by raising MAPs.
