Tasks & Achievements
1. Participate in RTGS Pilot testing phase with Egyptian banks and responsible for training and supervising the launching of RTGS payment system in my bank (2009).
2. Developing new Treasury cash flow application with IT development department. Which ensure the fully automation of all cash flow transactions and generated reports (2010).
3. Participate in training and supervising the launching of CSD system and coordinating with IT developers to link CSD system with bank core system to ensure the automated creation of securities swifts (2018).
Responsibilities & Duties ( from Nov2013- until now)
1. Managing and assessing the efficiency of workflow and evaluating performance of team members, in addition to coaching and assisting in achieving the annual objectives of the team.
2. Supervision of SWIFT settlements and accounting of transactions (Money Market, Foreign Exchange, Derivatives, Bank’s cash deals, FI agreements, And Loans Facilities).
3. Monitoring and managing of Nostro/ Vostro bank accounts including fulfilling clients queries and requests.
4. Implement and perform a validation of obligations emanating from the CBE circulars and assure that it has been incorporated within department’s policy and procedures.
5. Review and monitor the daily Cash maturities with Dealing Room. And approve their settlement and confirmation.
6. Responsible for validation and approval of interest rates calculations to clients’ compensation resulted from operational risk.
7. Responsible of all cash flow management functions for local and foreign currencies, and general ledger account reconciliations.
8. Responsible for EGP reserve requirement held with Central Bank of Egypt. And supervision of CBE RTGS system managing.
9. Recommends necessary changes to the policies and procedures related to treasury operations.
10. Review and recommend terms and conditions of correspondent banks contracts with financial institutions department.
11. Key player for system improvements within treasury workstation internal systems.
12. Supervision securities operations matching and settlement for fixed income securities (Treasury Bills and Governmental Treasury Bonds) in Central Security Depository system (CSD system)
13. Review and verify post trades confirmations, tax certificates, bank and client’s portfolio position and P&L trades report.
• Responsibilities & Duties ( from Oct 2005- until Nov2013)
1- Prepare EGP cash position forecasting to insure that our position is complied with Central Bank of Egypt reserve requirements.
2- Monitor daily bank transfers on RTGS to make sure that all payments are valid and settled through our account with CBE.
3- Manage the daily liquidity of our account with CBE through RTGS to prevent any delay or failure to bank payments.
4- Reconcile Bank statements with our accounts for all Nostro accounts.
5- Prepare cash position reports for all currencies. And responsible for daily cash concentrations transactions.
6- Review all the Reuters conversations (confirmed + unconfirmed deals) are well matched with the deal tickets.
Prepare the daily foreign exchange and deposits rates according to the treasury management's policy.
Provide the bank's clients with competitive FX quotations.
Maintain the bank's FX Position to eliminate market risk.
Place the daily liquidity surplus to achieve the highest possible return and borrow any deficit with the lowest cost.
Prepare a daily market commentary to be published to the head of treasury and the concerned departments.
