Budget Control & Contract Management
• Reviewing the Contract Documents to become acquainted with Project requirement & specifications.
• Preparing quantity take-offs, analysis, estimate, and studies for all items incorporated in the assigned scope
• Issuing the budget to procurement department complying to Contract BOQ and Project budget.
• Analysing and controlling the budget using SAGE ERP system.
• Prepare the Cost Report liaising with the Accounts department.
• Verifying the Material Requisition from Site by checking the quantities against the budgeted quantities to ensure the budget and the Contract specifications.
• Investigating & validating the source and cause of over budget items and working to keep the project within the time and budget.
• Revising the budget as per approved Variations
• Making sure that construction costs and production are managed as efficiently as possible.
• Analysing and preparing summary regarding the commercial aspects of the project.
• Communicate with the suppliers / sub-contractors to get the quotations and negotiate to get the best rate for the best quality and preparing price comparison and recommending the Supplier / Sub-Contractor.
• Preparation of Subcontract agreements and Contract negotiations.
• Evaluating of Sub-Contractor / Supplier payment applications and issuing Payment certificate.
• Provide advice to project staff on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting of Correspondence.
• Reporting to the Managing Director/Commercial Manger regarding the commercial aspects of the project
• Arrange to amend all insurances (CAR, Workman’s Plant & vehicle, Performance and advance bonds.
• Assisting Claim experts for the preparation of Delay claim and Extension of time.
Payments & Variations
• Prepare submit and negotiate project final accounts.
• Preparing monthly Interim Valuation & Coordinate with Client, Consultant & Main contractor for Certification.
• Maintaining records for the materials delivered to site & claiming material on site.
• Identifying the changes in the Employer’s Requirement and other related situations as applicable as per FIDIC condition of contract.
• Identifying the changes & preparing variations against IFC Drawings.
• Preparation of Supporting documents for Claims.
• Pricing for additional works based on BOQ price / Build-up with new unit price.
• Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations
• Attends meetings with Client/Consultant/Contractor/Sub-contractor for Providing clarifications/explanations
• To carryout technical evaluation of the requirement from Client and make recommendation.
• Prepares details and modifies proposal drawings including sections, plans and elevation diagrams as per instructions provided, in order to process client approvals
• Joint review with consultant QS Variation discussion and issue formal variation order
Pre Contract
• Prepare detailed Quantity take-off, verify Quantities in BOQ.
• Delegating Draftsmen for quantity take offs, cross checking quantities.
• Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
• The optimization of cost depending on type of job (contract) awarded i.e., Lump sum/ Re-measurable Job
• Received Placement in Placement Drive conducted in the college. • Participated in various events like essay writing, story writing, extempore speech, quiz etc in school and college level competitions.
