Developed and implemented HSE Policy, HSE Procedure Manual, Road Safety Manual and Yearly HSE Plans, Tasks & Targets for the project in compliance with Local, State and federal (OSHA), DOT, GASCO and company rules and regulations.
Over all responsible to the Management at site level for any advise on HSE. Provide HSE leadership and technical proficiency to company continuous improvement towards HSE.; Conducting Health and safety Inspections, Audits to ensure compliance with Company’s HSEMS. Coordinating and attending HSE Meeting, Operational meeting, Management meeting and actively participating to improve safe working conditions / practices to achieve optimal safety standards.; Preparation and implementation of project specific HSE plans to ensure safe working practices and adequate emergency response. Establish and monitor an emergency rescue/ response plan and periodic drills / training in case of an emergency preparation and updating overall staff’s HSE Matrix.; Discuss HSE issues day to day through daily meeting to promote and enhance HSE performance. Facilitate and use the regular Safety and Communications Meetings to reinforce everyone’s HSE commitments behaviours & Attended.; Carryout daily site inspections and advice for corrective actions and conducting safety audits based on the company’s operation to ensure safe methods of work with staff to monitor and improve health and safety standards in their workplaces. Strict enforcement of company HSE Policy.; Provide monthly HSE report to the Top Management, Client and report any short fall to the appropriate authority with proper justification and recommendations. Strict implementation of permits to work systems.; Foster a strong Health, Safety & Environmental protection culture to the entire team always looking for opportunities to raise the level of HSE awareness.; Ensure Accident-reporting system is in operation and used effectively. Investigate all incidents including near misses and establish the cause and corrective actions to avoid in further recurrence.; Maintain accurate safety statistics of Accidents, Incidents and Near Misses. Review and upgrade standards and work operational procedures focusing on continues improvements to eliminate and prevent injury or fatality.; Organizing and conducting periodic Emergency Evacuation and Fire drills including Fire Fighting to ensure that the staffs are familiar with Emergency response.; Ensure that company procedures relating to HSE are followed, lifting tools and equipments checked periodically by an competent person with high degree of supervision and that all lifting tackles / equipments certifications are maintained.; Promoting, motivating, and maintaining a standard of health, safety and environment awareness at the work site and the camp area by conducting safety meeting, Induction training, In House training, Special Training upon request, Quiz and competitions.
Carry out regular inspection on all vehicles, equipment, workshop, site locations, camps, First Aid Box, Fire Extinguishers, PPE, Lifting Tools & Equipment, Store, Chemical Storage Inspections etc.; Involving in Accident Investigation team, Handling Emergencies.; Having acquaintance of HSE practices and procedures and the ability to use the knowledge to prevent unsafe acts and apply professional judgments within this framework.; Conducts Monthly HSE meeting, Emergency Mock drills, Fire drills, at site level along with client’s representatives. Recommends disciplinary action to HSE violators who unnecessarily expose themselves and other personnel to injury or property damage; Record analysis information of injuries, damage, Assess accident trends and review safety performances.; Involving in Management walkthrough & HSE walkthrough along with client representatives. Advising the Management about the potential hazards, unsafe equipments, unsafe working conditions and carry out any remedial actions required to protect from such hazard.
Follow up, controlling and coordinating organization Health Safety and Environmental programs in order to increase the safety awareness and minimize the accident rates under HSE Engineer.
Electronically Data entry to all requirements of safety activities and follow up all reports as assigned by the Operations & HSE Engineer.
Developing, Implementing, Maintaining, and follow up Health Safety and security problems.
Follow up safety activities and inspections in Site and Accommodation.
Increasing and implementing safety awareness and procedures among employees by day-to-day training and morning drill.
Assisting operational personnel meet their HSE and technical requirements.
Organizing safety training programs to Indians, Philippines and Pakistani employees to increase the safety awareness.
Organizing weekly safety Tool Box Talk to Indians, Philippines and Pakistani employees.
Monitoring implementation of Computerized Fleet Management International systems, (FMSi).
Monitoring the safety and security organization camera and employees merit systems.
Ensuring availability and suitability, validity and suitability of Fire Fighting equipments and systems also ensuring their proper maintenance and refilling of it periodically.
Measuring accident rates and developing safety plans in order to minimize accidents in the site.
Providing liaison between organization and Third parties (out side parties) regarding safety.
Performing any other related duties as assigned by the Operations & HSE Engineer.
Investigating, Preparing and maintaining the Near Misses and Accident and Incident reports.
Preparation of HSE monthly reports as per ISO 9001.
Responsible for supervising personnel engaged in monitoring and preventing chemical; biological, radiological and physical hazards present throughout the work sites.
Participates in the implementation of ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 & OHSAS 18001:1999 series Quality Management systems and concepts.
Participates in the implementation of ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 & OHSAS 18001:2007 series Quality Management systems and concepts.
Development and maintenance of computer based Incident & Accident record keeping.
Assist & worked with the GASCO (Abu Dhabi Oil & Gas Co.). For the Half yearly Audit of the company which meets their requirements.
Implementing Maintaining and Analyzing of Incidents & Near miss statistics.
