Reporting to rig manager and play a major role to develop a high class HSE standard in rig.
To advise crew on safety aspects to be followed during rig operations according to NDC and client HSE Manual
Promote and monitor Behavior Based Safety to minimize the work place unsafe acts and pro-active corrective actions.
Cascade the HSE updates such as HSE manual revisions, lesson learning, internal and external safety alerts, incident reports and occupational health related information.
Participate in daily morning meeting, operation meeting, pre tour meetings, pre-job safety meetings, time out safety meetings and weekly conference call with town.
Ensure HSSE compliance to ADNOC, NDC and client HSE manual and ensuring rig is complying local legislation and international standards/codes.
Follow up various internal and external audits and update the close out status to head office.
Assist crew for making Permit To Work, Job Safety Analysis and Pre-Job Safety Meetings and make a track of all documents.
Assist barge engineer for safe lifting operations and ensure all safety aspects in place during job.
Monitor rig activities and advise crew for safe working practices.
Cooperate with client representative onboard for maintaining and tracking client HSE documents.
Ensure adequate personal protective equipment are onboard
Administrative part of permit to work system and assist crew for developing job safety analysis with task related hazard identification and control measures.
Update crew training matrix and organize external training for the crew. Conduct internal training such as Permit to Work, JSA, HAZID, Confined Space Entry, Work at Height Safety and Isolations etc.

Visiting rig drilling site and ensure that, the drilling contractor and third party companies are following Saudi Aramco HSE policies as well as Halliburton policies.
Chair the meeting with drilling contractor and Aramco representative for HSE action plan for rig-up, rig move, site inspections, environmental/ waste management system, Emergency Response Procedures and Aramco audit action tracking and follow-ups.
Coordinate the emergency response drills with Aramco, Halliburton DSVs on rig sites and update the drill deficiency track with action plan.
Conduct rig pre-commencement inspection along with Aramco safety advisors and trace it with drilling contractor HSE supervisor for timely close out actions.
Check and verify the drilling equipments (BOP, Diverter, Choke Manifold, Derrick, Mud Pumps) documents are comply with Aramco and API standards.
Inspect the crane and forklift randomly and report the deficiencies to contractor and take necessary action
Inspect rig hospital; ambulance and medicine inventory are up to date with Aramco Class-2 medical requirement.
Ensure drilling contractors and sub-contractors vehicles records are up to date and all drivers are onsite following journey management.
Report all incidents including environmental incidents in Halliburton system for further follow up and investigate if necessary.
If the well site is close by (under 1000 meter ruptured radius) any populated area, rig camps amend combined ERP plans and ensured all precautions are in place.
Conduct and coordinate JSA training for crew according to contractor and Halliburton risk matrix.
Verify critical lift plans such as tandem lifts, heavy lifts and man lifts are complying Aramco lifting codes.
Conduct pre-mast rig up inspections and authorize safety aspects of mast before rise.
Interact with each crew and improve their HSE standards as part of behavior based safety.
Check contractors training matrix and well control trainings and report the short fall to project manager.
Work as Quarterly Safety Inspection team for other location inspections.
Coordinate different field workshop and ensure all contractors and sub-contractor representatives are invited for the work shop.
Evaluate rig performance according to safety and operational compliance and report to Integrated Project Manager.
Attend monthly meeting with country manager, Aramco representative, drilling contractors and service company representatives and update safety performance statistics of rigs.
