Shutdown / Turnaround Project - Qatar Petroleum (QP) Offshore PS2/PS3 Oil Station / NGL Process Station

Brief Scope:
Shutdown maintenance activities performed in PS-2 and PS-3 offshore platforms. In each platform, about 80 static equipment including refurbishment of flares, replacement of vessel nozzles, cement lined piping replacement,
servicing and replacement of valves, internal coating of vessels, pipeline debris/blockage and painting jobs around 2000M2

Total Manpower requirement for one platform is 350. This includes subcontractors, vendors as well. Shutdown duration is 60 days

1. Finalization of the work list for turnaround/Shutdown coordination of operation & liabilities/Inspection.

2. Prepare detailed work specifications for the equipment list of Maintenance Turnarounds/Shutdown
through site visits, review of maintenance history.

3. Develop accurate and detailed schedule including pre-work and execution for turnarounds using Primavera with direct alignment and interface to SAP work orders.

4. Ensure schedules are fully resource loaded and levelled.

5. Determine activity relationships and work with respective disciplinary planners and engineers (including Operations, Projects and Turnaround) to create work activity linkages, for scope integration

6. Integrate Event schedule with the Projects group to align the Projects and TA activities. Challenge and set the logic. Communicate the integrated schedule.

7. Monitor critical and near critical path activities, and generate daily report during execution.

8. Field monitoring of actual work progress to check reported progress.

9. Interface with contractors on progress updates.

10. Update the schedule progress with actual hours, to help sharpen next turnaround.

11. Monitor the execution of the shutdown activities to avoid any delay/slippage from the shutdown plan.

12. Preparation of progress tracking sheet for vessel, columns, heat exchangers, furnace and boilers etc

PLANNING ENGINEER at Zamil Offshore Services & Zamil O & M Company Ltd

1. Prepare Tender/Proposal Schedule for organising bidding activities.

2. Prepared Refit Schedule for the Saudi Aramco Floating Dock II. Work scope including steel repair, full ballast Tank blasting and coatings program (Duration of Project 409 Days based on 24 hrs working Calendar)

3. Prepare Refit, Emergency Break Down and Preventive Maintenance Schedules from Saudi Aramco work Scopes and calculate the Expected Date of Completion (EDC) .

4. Prepare Schedule ‘Look ahead Plans’, Monitor, evaluate and report on progress

5. Coordinate material requests as per work scope & expedite material deliveries.

6. Responsible for preparation, obtaining approval, monitoring and controlling the base line program.

7. Prepare progress measurement system procedures and carry-out project progress updates on stipulated intervals.

8. Monitor critical path & overall schedule on a daily basis by collecting necessary data for the same.

9. Preparation of S-Curve progress report on daily basis for the close monitoring of the planned Vs actual.

10. Prepare the project manpower histogram, highlighting resource constraints that impact project progress.

11. Identify the requirement of revisions to the schedule, raise alerts on the same to Project Control Manager

12. Preparation and submission of Organization chart, Manpower & Equipment deployment plans for review
Progress Manage/Request material requirements through SAP-PM. Follow up PR/PO.

13. Prepare recovery schedules to mitigate delays in the project.

14. Follow up with Procurement and subcontractor for timely mobilization of materials, equipment’s and Manpower.

15. Estimating the cost of additional jobs, forwarding to client and getting approval.

16. Analyzing impacts of scope changes on cost and preparing thorough reports for client review and approval
