Provides reliability support to cross functional to resolve plant equipment and system problems in order to resolve issues.
Prepare initial inspection reports & technical reports for equipments failure, repair or overhauling.

Condition monitoring of rotating equipments.
Carrying out / verifying alignment of shafts, pulleys with laser alignment technique.
Assists in the preparation of predictive, preventive, modification and major shutdown maintenance programmes for mechanical equipment in the plant, using equipment past performance, manufacturer’s data, RCA recommendations.
Technically reviews bids for the supply of the new / spare equipment.
Reviews annual requirements for mechanical materials, spare parts and equipment, advises on stock levels and material descriptions, and provides suggestions for alternatives or inter-changeability of parts with other equipment in different Company locations.
Prepares purchase requisitions, contract scopes, bid evaluation and inspection of expensive/critical items.
Directing & instructing maintenance technicians & contractors; monitoring expenses with optimum utilization of resources.
Provides regular feedback to Operations Department and Planning Section on status of work undertaken.
Ensures that all mechanical maintenance services are provided safely and efficiently in accordance with internationally recognized engineering standard.
Liaises with other maintenance disciplines and the workshop to co-ordinate multi-discipline work or machine shop requirement.
Prepares detailed equipment checklists for routine maintenance and the estimation of detailed manpower and skill requirements.
Provides engineering assistance to the Development Engineering Section in the Mechanical design and specification of modifications or new equipment installations and projects.
Follows up on the work of maintenance contractors Includes reviewing contractors regular reports, assessing their performance and providing advice as necessary. Clears contractors invoice for payment.
