Review work practices and coordinates work activities in respect of the development, installation and maintenance of various projects concerning Telecom/Power Plant/Air Conditioning/Electromechanical and Civil infrastructure for the expansion and upgrade of Etisalat’s services in the Region and external projects.
Advices on improving the technical documentation and coordination aspects in the external projects as per eFM general directive and guidelines in order to enhance the efficiency, lead time and quality of workmanship.
Plans, develops, review, implements and supports the corporation’s, O&M procedures, and standards as well as the rationalization and simplification of methods and work procedures relating to the operations of the Electrical, Mechanical and Civil projects in the Region.
Work on CMMS.
Proposal on energy efficient MEP facilities for clients.
Trainings to engineers and supervisors on Refrigerant recovery system, Health and Safety standards.
Setting up KPI's( Key performance indicators) for middle management.
Responsible for the management & Coordination of all activities related to MEP (Mechanical-HVAC/District Cooling, Electrical, Plumbing, Transportation & all other technical services) of the project. Responsibilities also included coordination of MEP related civil works, time management in order to complete construction projects on schedule, within budget and according to specified standards of quality performance.
Also co-ordination with project management team/ consultant and with sub contractors for all the related MEP works. Study the variation/ time implication if any in the project. Close coordination with the project planning team/Technical Deptt. Liaison with local authorities. Review of the Tender documents/contract agreements. Allocating work to site staff.
Role:
• Rendering services as Head of MEP Engineering Section from Main Contractor and ensure the timely delivery of E&M Systems comprising of:
o HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Safety Systems
o LV Power Distribution & Lighting, etc.
o Fire Alarm, Access Control and CCTV System
o Data, telephone, communication, integrated IVR system
o Smart home and solar Energy system
o Integrated Building Management System
o Lifts and Escalators Systems etc.
• Accountable for managing the MEP subcontractors and to ensure all timely delivery of engineering deliverable.
• Review tender and design documents and raise RFIs for discrepancies. Coordinate with PMC and designers for a timely resolution of all RFIs.
• Review and approvals of 3D BIM Modelling, Shop Drawings, Method statements, calculations, material submittals etc.
• Manage interfaces with all other system contractors on the project, specialist contractors, 3rd party systems contractors, other phase contractors etc to ensure project deliverable.
• Ensure timely approval of all MEP interface requirements to the Civil team to ensure unhindered progress of civil construction.
• Follow-up and coordination with Consultants, Client and all other stake holders to ensure the timely approvals.
• Provide inputs and coordinate with commercial team in raising variation claims
• Coordinate with planning department for progress updates and close monitoring of the project progress
Worked as a Project Engineer (Mechanical) at DUBAI Air Port extension (Terminal -3) Area AX324 with extensive experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, MF& design coordination for the Shop drawings preparation, design review, engineering, installation, testing and commissioning, preparation for minor & major plant modification
Worked as a MEP Coordinator in ASTCC, Since 6th Feb 2004. Responsibility includes liaison/co-ordinate with client/consultant and with sub contractors for all the related MEP works. Monitor the work progress at site, supervise and inspect the installation, modification and pre-commissioning of the electro-mechanical devices/equipments. Review drawings related to MEP services for the smooth execution of civil works. Responsible for ensuring full Customer Satisfaction on assigned projects and obtain Appreciation Letters/ Recommendations. Develop and monitor regularly the progress and successful completion of projects as per the Construction Programme.
Preparation, submission and obtaining approval on material proposals/drawings etc. / Raise RFI, IR’s and follow ups.Preparation of material procurement schedule and update. Ensure adequacy of materials at site and no idling of workforce.
Responsibilities include maintenance of mechanical system of HVAC, Plumbing & Drainage, Refrigeration, Fire protection at various commercial / residential buildings. Investigated mechanical failures & unexpected maintenance problems and recommended solutions. Supervised and inspected the installation, modification and commissioning of mechanical system. Supervised technicians, technologists and junior engineers, provided guidance in design review, calculations and cost estimates. Prepared schedules and monitored progress of ongoing work. Liaison with the tenants.
Project Management
• In-depth study of MEP drawings and specification of new projects and approval.
• Ensuring the implementation of MEP works at site as per the drawings and requirements.

Facilities Management
•Preparing documents to put out tenders for contractors;
•Project Management and Monitoring and coordinating work of contractors;
•Calculating and comparing costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money;
•Managing and leading change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities;
•Liaising with tenants of commercial properties;
• Directing and planning essential central services such as reception, security, maintenance, mail, archiving, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and recycling;
•Ensuring the buildings meet Health and Safety requirements;
•Planning best allocation and utilization of space and resources for new buildings, or re-organizing current premises;
•Checking that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies;
•Coordinating and leading one or more teams to cover various areas of responsibility;
•Using Performance Management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels and to lead on improvement;
•Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
