Under the supervision of Pakistan's leading textile Mill we study to optimize the printing production cost by implementing slight changes in the working style. We target our direct raw material which comprises 70 percent of the total cost of printing and following are the detail how we control the things on floor. • Make unused automatic paste dispensing machine (IPS) operational and start using in production with a team of 8 people among them three were textile engineers. • Prepare estimated & actual cost sheet for each design and shared with color master. • Prepare and provide estimated quantity sheets for paste preparation. • Recommend to install digital valves on tanks at paste dispensing site. • Record and assemble return paste in separate area where color man (special appointment) prepares color for incoming programs in coordination with production staff. • We start a practice to recover paste from the buckets which were considered empty. Through this on average we recover 2-4 kg /bucket. • Also design a machine to make the recovery process fast and makes the buckets available for production.
