¬ Attention on slow moving SKUs for rationalization and obsolete inventory liquidation to reduce stuck-up finances
¬ Team up with brand managers to support New product developments and launches across the country.

To understand strategic direction, objectives and needs of IFFCO as well as IFFCO Group along with their value drivers
To define strategic sourcing goals and strategy and subsequently, implement the strategy and tactics for each of these items
To negotiate and set up strategic sourcing agreements / arrangements for all items/services, with significant commercial value
To develop and implement a supplier development program in line with the strategic sourcing goals
To develop a network that will ensure access to critical market information including prices of key inputs of supplier.
To develop and implement a vendor rating mechanism, together with a vendor performance improvement system, across the IFFCO Pakistan.
Support company in deciding “make or buy” decisions
To benchmark against competition (wherever possible)
To develop and implement appropriate sourcing processes across the IFFCO Pakistan integrated with the rest of the supply chain
Make spent budget and set targets for cost saving with periodic analysis and progress reports.
As Manager Supply Chain: My responsibilities include, \nManage and supervise all commercial activities related to consumable stores and packaging material \nDealing with vendors, fabricators and service agents for supply, fabrication and commissioning activities \nNegotiations with vendors on various products \nResponsible for managing logistics for all buying to ensuring safe delivery, quality checking and entry in stores \nResponsible for inventory management of consumable as well as packaging stores including stock levels, procurement order generation, supply scheduling, identification of slow-moving, idle and dead inventory \nLiaison with Marketing and Sales people for planning in line with their forecast, \nMaintain a port folio of more than 100 SKUs of packaging items including, Tin cans, Master ctns, Films, Polies, Plastic bottles, PP Jars etc. \nResponsible for managing on-line supply chain for packaging material especially Tins which includes, planning of tins requirement, procurement of tin plates, issuing these plates to the fabricators for fabrication of tin cans. \nDeveloping new packaging materials from time to time on the advice of marketing dept \nResponsible for alternate sourcing through continuous market research. \nPreparation of budgets for procurement of input material in line with the Material Requirement plan generated on the basis of Sales estimates and planning \n \nAchievements: \n1-Aligned Demand with supply of production materials, through on-line production of tin cans, thereby reducing the cost of carrying inventory of 50, 000 + tin cans to mere 15, 000 tin cans. \n2- Coordinated with vendors on production planning and supply scheduling, which strengthened the supply chain and ensured right material at the right time, in the right qty, this reduced the line shortages from an average of 50 ~ 60 mtons to 20~25 mtons. \n3- Rationalized the consumable stores which resulted in reduction from a list of 8000 + items to 4, 500 items including house keeping items as well
Managing cross-functional relationship between various departments such as Sales, Marketing, Production & Dispatch.Liaison with Marketing and Sales people for planning in line with their forecast.Maintain a port folio of more than 1000 SKUs of packaging and other items including, offset packets, Master ctns, Films, Polies, Plastic bottles, PP Jars, Salt, vermicelli etc. Deal with suppliers of Packaging and raw material regarding new product development ordering and supplyPrepare monthly, quarterly, annually procurement plan for materials required as per production plan.Preparation of periodic budgets for the packaging related items monitoring of Supply against order.Coordinate with printers for development / amendment of artwork for packaging and POS material. Maintain track record of these activities.Ensure prompt preparation of receipt documents w.r.t. supplies and (GRN & GRA, etc.).Handle all issues, w.r.t bills processing of packaging material and raw materials to Finance department for payment.Ensure that the relevant store maintain their stock physically on the book accurately.Develop and maintain reserve levels for all items at stores with respect to their individual lead times.
Achievements:
1-Aligned Demand with supply of production materials, thereby, reducing the stock-outs from 25 items to 5 items, reducing line stoppages vis a vis
2- Coordinated with vendors on production planning and supply scheduling, which strengthened the supply chain and ensured right material at the right time, in the right qty, which increased export order dispatch from 55 FCLs in a year to 50 FCLs in a month in just 3 years.
3- Changed the system of self -distribution to third party distribution thereby improving the efficiency and availability of product on the stores in-time, through which the products got better width as well as depth in the shelves
Evaluation of new product features with respect to packaging, printing, pack size,
Coordination with foreign principals regarding issues requiring change in product features
Liaison with Marketing and Sales people for order planning in line with their monthly sales forecast,
Coordination with the Finance dept ensuring necessary financial arrangements for such transactions
Preparing monthly funds requisition for the purpose of LC retirement/opening and product clearance
Stock ordering
Ensuring swift and timely delivery of stocks at the respective destinations with economical freight and minimal damage
Dealing with various shipping lines and freight forwarding agents for import and exports
Dealing with various transporters for In-land distribution
Dealing with distributors nationwide with respect to distribution and credit
Keeping track of credit limit of distributors
Ensuring that credit ceiling is not violated and is inline with the distribution contract of each distributor
Reporting credit position to the Management Board on weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
Regular coordination with sales people regarding funds outstanding and its recovery- with time frame
Suggest and implement measures to reduce/sustain distribution cost and improved receivable management.Achievements:
1-Converted purchasing from cash basis to credit basis
2- Reduced outstanding amounts from distributors/ market from 10 million to 6 Million Rupees
Coordinating with branches, ware houses and distributors for inventory requirements through their weekly, monthly and quarterly sales forecast \n Responsible to manage optimum Inventory Level at branches \n Controlling and monitoring inventory cost \n Liaison with Production department at factory for production planning \n Monitoring Slow-moving /Idle stock and re-location of all such stocks to appropriate areas \n Ensuring swift and timely delivery of stocks at the respective destination \n Dealing with various transporters regarding the changing scenario with respect to fuel and freight cost \n Proposing new strategies and developments so as to improve and upgrade departmental performance \nRaw material planning \n Planning Human resources in accordance with the requirement of production department \n Administrative management of the premises, taking care of various issues regarding men and machines \n Making SOPs for various activities in the departments \n Contingency planning \n Ensuring the right quantity of product being produced at the right time with maximum work efficiency and quality.Achievements: \n1-Reduced Finished Goods inventory coverage from 15 days to 7 days thereby improving company cash flows \n2- Established new sources for raw material for (Chips) who would hold inventory on company behalf and supply it on-time and as per requirement eventually reducing the inventory carrying cost \n3- Improved speed of logistics through monitoring/tracking the journey time of delivery vehicles, which resulted in efficient distribution and rationalization of inventories at branches
Preparing quarterly funds forecast for branches,
Maintaining banking record of branches
Reconciling Head Office bank books with that of branch records.
Maintaining record of credit among the distributors/market/employees
Follow up on differences in the bank balances of HO and Branch
Responsible for preparing various financial reports relating to branches for the Divisional Manager
