Post Dated Cheques Department -
Was trained on all the aspects of post dated cheque procedures.
Inward Remittances & Salaries -
Processing inward transfer requests, Bulk payments and salaries, WPS processing.
Central Bank Department -
Processing Standing orders, maintenance of Ministry & Central Bank Accounts.
Cheques Clearing Department -
Clearing of daily inward and outward cheques, reconciliation.
Was trained on the basic functioning of the BEAM, ICCS Connect and Equation Systems.
Deceased Accounts Closure Department - Reporting to the Assistant Manager Operations.
Was posted in the First Notification Queue.
Duties included -
- Corresponding with UK counterparts and Branches.
- Maintenance of customer accounts
- Release required documentation and correspondence to customers.
Within a month was progressed to Payments and General Queries Queue.
Duties included -
- Carrying out document verification and arrange beneficiary payments.
- Making outbound calls to UK solicitors, customers & registrars.
- Writing official letters to UK solicitors, customers & registrars.
- Responding to general queries.
The course covered a variety of areas including fundamental knowledge of Islamic banking, instruments and techniques used in the Islamic banking, Islamic law and finance, Islamic funds and capital market operations, fundamental requirements of business education and basic requirements of professional certifications. I have maintained a high GPA level throughout all the semesters. Received an internship and was posted at Sharjah Islamic Bank head office.
