• Advising the Project Management Team on the implementation of ADNOC Onshore Occupational Health procedures and supports management on all Public Health matters including Disease Prevention & Control, Food Safety and Hygiene, Pest Management, Waste Management and Water Safety in line with project and corporate expectations.

• Implementing stringent precautionary measures to curb spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19)
cases on the project. Conducting inspections and training to enhance effectiveness of controls.
Monitoring sanitization and disinfection protocols.

• Verifying compliance of contractor camp management activities to the ADNOC Code of Practices, 100 % HSE program & Life Saving Rules.

• Reviewing and approving contractor documents, HACCP Manuals, Safe Work Procedures, Pest Control Plans, Waste Management Plans, Camp & Welfare Management Plans and other Occupational Health deliverables for the project.

• Liaising with regulatory officers from the Food Control Authority and Environmental Agency.

• Conducting comprehensive inspections of camps, catering, medical service and welfare facilities to verify adherence to ADNOC CoP, UAE Fire & Life Safety CoP, Department of Health (HAAD) and Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) regulations.

• Interviewing workers to assess quality of welfare facilities, salary, overtime, health insurance issues and compliance to UAE Labor Laws & Wage Protection System (WPS).

• Single-handedly managing the public health aspects of 8 accommodation camps occupying 10000+ residents.

• Training contractors on public health, food safety, hygiene, water safety, welfare management.

Location: ADNOC Das Island | Offshore Oil & Gas Sector

● Conversant in aspects of health & safety management, public health and hygiene.

● Providing safety coaching and pro-active safety advice to all levels of personnel / contractors on-site.

● Assuring compliance & continuous improvement to internal environmental policies, offshore safety standards, legislations & best practices.Well versed with ADNOC Code of Practices & Life Saving Rules.

● Collaborating with the Occupational Health Dept. in investigating health hazards related to asbestos, mold exposures, illumination, air quality, noise, disease outbreaks, vector control programs & heat stress.

● Reviewing risk assessments & SWP’s, conducting HSE & fire safety inspections and emergency drills.

● Verifying proper waste management procedures (Municipal & Hazardous).

● Safeguarding port health and inspecting imported food consignments at Das Harbor & Airport.

● Promoting environmental health, food & water protection and supporting public health campaigns.

● Overseeing the implementation of Integrated Pest Management procedures throughout the island.

● Monitoring environmental pollution controls and liaising with the oil spill response team.

Location: ZADCO UZ750 Project - Upper Zakum Oil Field (Offshore Oil & Gas Sector)

● Developed the Project HSE Plan and successfully mobilized 4 accommodation camps on the artificial islands ( South, North, West & Central )

● Implemented the IMS standards throughout the project as per the HSE Plan and relevant clauses of ADNOC Code of Practice. Performed daily inspections and periodic internal audits in all departments, services within the units and ensured that the agreed corrective, preventive actions are being fulfilled to ensure compliance and optimal safety and on the project islands.

● Ensured the highest level of food safety, HACCP, sanitation and hygiene standards in the production facility to make sure that all food served to camp residents are free from microbiological and physical contamination, and all work areas confirm to the requirements set by ADFCA, ADNOC COP and ZADCO Occupational Health.

● Carried out responsibilities as the Lead advisor on any incident investigation, including conducting effective and pertinent investigation analysis, reporting on incident as per ZADCO standards, proposing corrective measures and following up on the action plan.

● Conducted Risk Assessments & Job Safety Analysis (JSA); Developed safe work procedures, and arranged appropriate Permit to Work (PTW).

● Developed and implemented the Fire Safety Plan for the project; Organized and conducted several fire drills and other HSE incident mock drills as per schedule.

● Coordinated the inspection and testing of all firefighting equipment and detectors.

● Advised on a range of specialist areas including fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases.

● Conducted weekly & monthly joint HSE Audits with ZADCO HSE Dept to identify areas of improvement.

● Created the monthly safety toolbox talk program by identifying proactive and reactive issues for communication to the workforce.

● Organized the Safety Steering Team and HSE Committee meetings.

● Encouraged staff to participate in the Behavioral Safety Program (DuPont STOP) and earned several ZADCO HSE Certificate of Appreciation awards.

● Designed interactive safety presentations, handouts and delivered high-impact HSE training for all employees

Location: Abu Dhabi Western Region CICPA Camps - Ruwais, Habshan, Asab, Buhasa, Shah, Jabal Dhanna, Sadr Coast Guard

● Managed total camp & catering operations for the Critical Infrastructure & Coastal Protection Authority military camps in UAE borders.

● Ensured the implementation of HSE, HACCP, ISO 22000, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 standards.

● Conducted internal audits and workplace safety training.
