Oleflex unit (De-hydrogenation of Iso-Butane to Iso_ Butylene). Continuous catalyst regeneration unit.
Cryogenic separation unit, Isomerisation unit, PSA, ORU and CSP units.
DUTIES
Operate DCS to control and maintain the process parameters so as to get finished product within specification, monitor critical process parameters and equipment behaviour.Maintain process stability at all the times by close surveillance of operating conditions. Take quick and decisive actions in emergencies like power failure, steam failure or in case of plant shutdown. Function as field activity Coordinator for shutdown and turnaround jobs. Perform all responsibilities of Shift Engineer in his absence as and when demanded. Do effective communication with Field operators through radio paging system. Follow all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. Review /revise Standard Operating Procedure, prepare procedure for specific jobs.
Operation of Atmospheric crude distillation unit(Two units of 35000 bpd&45000 bpd).Naphtha stabilizer unit. Equipments like pump, compressor isolating, depressing and handing over to maintenance. Got training in DCS Honey well TDC 3000. Actively participated in the comminsiong of 45000 bpd crude distillation unit.
Joined as field operator in Fluidized Catalytic Cracking Unit of KUWAIT National Petroleum Company. Familiar with the start up and shut down of equipment like wet gas compressor, main air blower, reactor and regenerator, continuous catalyst regeneration system, centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, turbine driven pumps, waste heat boiler and distillation columns.
My job started with COCHIN Refineries as a plant operator and I gained a good experience which helped my carrier to progress. I gained good experience in operation of Crude Distillation Unit, Fluidized Catalytic Cracking Unit, LPG Merox, LPG Amine and Aromatic Recovery Unit.
BIRLA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY & SCIENCE is one of the top rated universities in INDIA. I completed my B.S Degree (Engineering Technology) in First Division with Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), India(3 years course). I secured the first division with a CGPA of 7.70.
I completed my diploma in chemical engineerig from Government of Kerala. Secured first division with 64% marks.
