This is a charity very close to my heart that helps people and families of people with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) in the North East of England.
My role was at board level to help support the senior management team with my other board members through strategic advice, support and direction. My main focus areas were around Marketing, Brand and PR however I was also involved in a number of sub groups for partner working relationships, finance and compliance.
As a board we were also, leading the process of achieving NHS Community Trust status, a pilot scheme with only 12 other similar bodies across the UK
Originally offering digital marketing solutions & technologies aimed initially at the SME market, moving up to the Public Sector and the Blue-Chip and FMCG client base.
• Company USP was ability to reduce clients’ marketing budgets while increasing the market share/profile for blue-chip & FMCG client base. Clients included: NHS, Various UK Government Departments, Leo Burnett, THALES, L’Oreal, Peugeot, Komatsu.
• Successfully increased sales by £7m+/per annum in 5 years
• Worked with Leo Burnett and the UK DTI. The project focused on the operating and methodology of a global brand agency representing a wide range of global brands, emphasis on emerging markets.
• Provide Strategic Brand, Marketing, Digital & PR services
• Successfully created and designed eAdvent calendar sent out to our clients with our branding, receiving an initial 9m hits. Developed eAdvent calendar concept further, resulting in 60m hits globally.
• New product launch for industrial/ technical services company, brand, print design, literature & digital sales presentation; resulted in company exceeding two-year £5m sales target by 60%.
• Integral in creating, funding & developing a £45m inner city mixed use scheme with Inertia Developments, acted as Sales & Marketing Director, including all, Procurement & Bid Proposals, Client Meetings, Viability Study, Bank Financing etc. & secured International Hotel operator & University.
• Integral in creating, funding & developing a marina located mixed use scheme from initial idea, through raising £60m capital through to construction tender stage, included luxury apartments, office space, retail, childcare, and health facilities as part of a wider inner city scheme. Appointed to work on all areas of the project from original idea, design inception, development finance, master planning, design development, construction tenders, sales & marketing for all environments.

Worked with other local/regional Business Leaders to provide focus and insight into the current business community and where it should be going.
A Commercial Property Development company set up with the specific aim of developing a mixed use development in the heart of Teesside

Involved during the devolution of this board and integration into a regional organisation that is now currently servicing the North East of England.
