As NMK was searching for an experienced Earthworks & Civil Site Supervisor to work closely with the project manger on site, I joined the company. My primary tasks and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Writing documentations of company Policies and Procedures regarding the nature of the new projects at hand
• Preparing Integrated Management Systems (IMS), Operation Plans, Methodologies, and Safe Work Methods Statements (SWMS).
• Programming and scheduling the project using MS Project
• Review drawings & proposing changes if & when required
• Manage & check contractors works
• Monitor construction to ensure regulator compliance of all WHS/OH&S on site
• Demonstrate professional site management as a Civil Supervisor
• Time management skill with approved ability to thrive under pressure in a professional manner

• Manage subcontractors presence, performance, and proper execution of the technicalities based on project requirement
• Cost control, invoice processing, and submitting them to the managers
• Manage site preparation, asset transportation, repairs, warehouse operation, earthworks, and other temporary works
• Complying with WHS and Australian Standards along with planning and scheduling
• Handling project administration workloads, contacting Site traders, and council with DA, CC, and so forth.

Shiraz Municipality is the principal construction and civil organization in the town. Major projects are funded, constructed or managed by this semi-governmental organization. As a Civil Superintendent, working for the principal of the projects, I have the following responsibilities:
• Controlling or providing measurement, estimation and cost calculations
• Develop cost-effective solutions to problems
• Provide specialist technical input and advice
• Oversee final civil designs and constructional instructions from the team
• Controlling the project time schedule and deliverables of the projects
• Managing clients, customers and stakeholders of the department

• Taught theories along with information on how to apply them to actual external work
• Maintained student records including examinations, logs performance evaluations.
• Escalated the urge in the students to conduct research and further studying the subject
• Performed practical and theoretical examinations.
• Organised site visits and industry tours to engage students with their future professional market
• Updated the students and me on innovations, discoveries, and invitations related to the course
• Defining assignments that could optimise the understanding of the students and maximise their insight on the course
• Worked with individual students and supporting them on their projects.

Lecturing has always been my favourite industry, and though I was busy with my full-time job, I kept lecturing as a refreshing, enjoyable profession part-time.
During my tenure at Vocational College of IAU of Shiraz, I have taught many courses including:
Surveying Principals, Statics, Preliminary Statics, Strength of Materials, Structural Codes, Heavy Machinery used in Buildings and road construction, Physics Lab - Thermal Physics, Physics Lab - Mechanical Physics, Concrete and Materials Lab, Forming and Placing of Concrete, Technical English, principles of supervision, Technical Drawing and Auto CAD, Engineering Geology, Technology of Steel Structures, and Architectural Theories.

Following the huge work load and undertaking many projects by the Municipality of Shiraz as a part of modernization and city development program, experienced project managers were assigned with assistants to help them with the extra work and to grow future project managers for the municipality. I participated in various projects of different notions, tasks and work environment.

Major Projects:
• Construction of two highly elevated post - tension structured bridges of each 1km length connected by a solid loop and new right turns and traffic modification called "The Moallem Three Leveled Interchange and Bridge Project" (Oct 2014 - June 2017)
• A new bus station with all the required site preparations, needed surveying, substrata layers and pavement constructions with portal frames and minor masonry office buildings called "The New City Bus Station and Parking" (Mar 2015 - Feb 2016)
• First phase of design, study and foundation construction of "The New Twin Towers of the Municipality Headquarters Project" (Apr 2015 - Nov 2015)
• The Construction of an artificial island inside the dry seasonal river of Shiraz called "Landscaping of Nahr-e-Aazam Islands Project" (June 2016 - June 2017)

My responsibilities included:
• Project management and leadership based on PMBOK codes and Shiraz Municipality Management System
• Management of the designs of the civil infrastructure and construction projects
• The ability to manage teams as well as maintaining relationships with clients
• Knowledge of the applicable professional engineering software
• Continuous study and excellent construction knowledge and the capability to deliver high quality projects according to the time frame of the project
• Controlling invoices based on technical and as - built project minutes and plans
• Continuous site supervision and overseeing the exact technicality aspects of the construction to be met according to the related engineering standards

My responsibility was consulting the company in order to expand their market to Iran. This needed to master marketing skills and also focusing on the quality and performance of the machines the company is selling. TFS is focused on Geotechnical, piling and foundation machines and equipment and for that, I have learned the techniques which TFS machines provide.
I travelled to different cities, negotiated, did research and studied the market in order to find the potential clients and partners for this company. Compiling reports and translating between Farsi and English was another part of the job to create stronger links between company management and our clients in Iran.
