° Sending advance instructions & balance instructions and to make sure with finance team the
advances and Balances are executed on time
° Keeping Track of ETA’s and make sure balance payments are done on time for timely release of
documents
° Keeping track of Shortages & damaged goods/ Report to supplier and follow up for Credit notes for
the same from suppliers
° Invoicing & timely submission to Accounts
° Client Management on day to day basis & fulfill their requirements
° Product Sourcing & Purchasing
° Constant motivating the team & develop their skills to deliver the best results
KEY POJECTS / TASK HANDLED:
° Supplier Management - have successfully managed end to end handling of export shipments from
large Suppliers like RAK Ceramics & Sanitary Ware - RAK, Laticrete Middle East -RAK, Kludi RAK,
and Felda IFFCO - Malaysia, and PT Synergy - Indonesia
° Planning / Execution - have demonstrated my planning & execution skills by successfully managing
cross trade shipments (Around 300 rice containers from Pakistan, 400 containers of Tyres & Batteries
from China, 100 Containers of Galvanized & Aluzinc Sheets from China, 100 Containers of Palm Oil
from Malaysia & Indonesia, 50 containers of sugar from Brazil) on an annual basis.
° Time Management - Always working on Edge to fulfill complexed documentations successfully for
Short Transit shipments of 7 to 10 days which involves Letter of Credit & Switching of Bill of Ladings
° Cost Effectiveness - Saving USD 7500 on RAK Ceramics & Sanitary Ware Complexed loadings
annually on transportation part. RAK Ceramics & Sanitary Ware loads around 300 containers a day
& In this case no transporter agrees to load containers at RAK ceramics and if they do they charge
additional 100 AED per container as there are long ques for loadings. Have agreed same rate with no
detention charges for waiting
° Negotiations - negotiated 90 days payment terms for local Suppliers like Mineral Circle Bearings
LLC, Kludi RAK, local Freight Forwarders like Ami Middle East, Trans Pack LLC, RAK Logistics
LLC where normal terms are 30 to 40 days PDC & On rice Advance payments from Pakistan 10 %
instead of 30% enabling company to save on working capital requirements
° Line Management - We enjoy 45 days free time for in transit containers where normal norms for
transit containers are 28 days free time. Also at Mombasa port, carriers like
Maersk/Safmarine/Evergreen they charge USD 50/container for Equipment handling charges for
consignee, which I have managed to get wavers from liner for customers, which saves USD 5000
containers annually for customers
