A RIS - PACS Administrator by profession with 9+ years of experience in a Multi Environment, Multi skill, Joint commission international accredited hospitals with 1500 Beds. Core proficiency in the field of Medical Imaging and HIS-EMR integration of applications and delivering products using Project management lifecycle.
Responsible to carry out the project implementation task of Cardiology (GE), Dental (Infinitt), Gastroenterology (Endovault) & Ophthalmology (IFA) projects and make sure to deliver the project on said time. Looking after the RIS - PACS imaging systems and make sure the radiology & cardiology department is up and running all time.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Liaises between HIS - IT and Cardiology Department as a Project implementer to carry out the project implementation of the cardiology information system and hospital information system along with the PACS.
Managing and coordinating with the GE to complete the entire set up and to monitor the daily objectives performed in cardiology department.
Coordinate and support the cardiology in planning the CVIS and PACS project management, and testing the Rhapsody integration tool for CVIS/PACS and HIS integration for ADT, ORM, ORU, DFT and MFN Interfaces.
Coordinate and support the cardiology department in designing the project task, structurize the plan and working with the network infrastructure team, and finally participated in the testing activities of CVIS/PACS as part of project implementation.
Assist in the planning of after Go-Live activities for CVIS/PACS and high achievable performance of the system.
Supports to complete the CVIS - PACS policy and procedure and communicate regularly with modality vendors and HIS teams to fix any inconsistency.
Responsible for all aspects of planning, organizing, and coordinating all needs to meet effective clinical imaging, information system, and image management of PACS and wavelet images .
Provided effective, technology enabled, solutions for the collection, organization, and presentation of patient’s clinical images along with the patient report as needed.
Assign the PACS Admin to do the regular PPM for the workstations and vendors to the modality and the servers and generate monthly report about the status and operational conditions as per the PPM Schedule.
Train the different groups of end-users within the cardiology Department like the cardiologists, chief technologists, Cardiology Nurse and the Receptionists, on how to use the Applications and the various tools.
Handle the User Security issues and creating user and granting appropriate privileges.
Able to identify all image modalities that is subject for CVIS/PACS Retrieval, Secure retrieve and split the patient's diagnostic images.
Acts as a first level of support to the CVIS and PACS and provide responses for the issues that arise clinically and technically.
Support in resolving day to day issues in Applications (CVIS/PACS) reported by end users and Participates in the status reporting of the PACS and RIS to the group management.
ADDITIONAL TASKS:-
Testing of the EMR Related activities for Radiology, cardiology and GI Endoscopy. And validating the Image availability along with the Order details.
Managing the Testing area of the cardiology PACS and radiology PACS.
Configuring IE33 Modality and VIVD Echo machines for DICOM WL, DICOM STORE, DICOM MPPS and DICOM SR.
Liaises between IT and Radiology Department as a Project implementer to carry out the project implementation of the radiology and hospital information system along with the PACS.
Configured the entire set up in the RIS Database and to monitor the daily objectives performed in radiology department.
Coordinate and support the radiology in planning the RIS and PACS project management, and all implementation along with the HL7 integration for RIS/PACS and HIS.
Coordinate and support the radiology department in designing the project task, structurize the plan and working with the network infrastructure team, and finally participated in the testing activities of RIS/PACS as part of project implementation.
Coordinate with the group radiology hospitals to define the needs of the radiology department and participate in defining billing codes and CPT codes according to the standards of local health authority.
Coordinate with the modality vendors for modality work list configuration and images transmission to Work flow manager and engaged effectively with Philips health care and HIS team to achieve the best possible outcome of this implementation.
Assist in the planning of after Go-Live activities for RIS/PACS and high achievable performance of the system.
Coordinate with radiology and QPS team to ensure the compliance of RIS/PACS components with quality standards which uniforms the local health authority.
Supports to complete the RIS - PACS policy and procedure and communicate regularly with modality vendors and HIS teams to fix and inconsistency.
Responsible for all aspects of planning, organizing, and coordinating all needs to meet effective clinical imaging, information system, and image management of PACS and wavelet images.

Fix any inconsistencies in the data (RIS/PACS) by using the relevant Quality Control tools. If the RIS or the work list provider is not functional for some time then the administrator should assist the key-users and/or end-users to fix the studies.
Have a great deal of knowledge about all applications, software and hardware (front end and back end) (PACS, RIS, Dictation, Voice Recognition, etc.)
Creating new users and responsible for day to day activities of Radiologists, Medical Consultants, Specialists and Radiology staff.
Assisting the OPD Consultants, Nurses and specialists to view the pacs images through the EHR application.
Handle the image display issues of different examinations, which include CT, MR, Mammogram, Fluoroscopy, Angiography, General X-Ray, and Diagnostic & Cardiac Ultrasound & Nuclear Medicine.
Able to identify all image modalities that is subject for RIS/PACS Retrieval, Secure retrieve and split the patient's diagnostic images.
Perform daily back up checks of all RIS, PACS, CM, and Monitor the Tape Library.
Acts as a first level of support to the RIS and PACS and provide responses for the issues that arise clinically.

Change and customize system configuration as per the customer requirements.
Train the different groups of end-users within the Radiology Department like the Radiologists, Radiographers, Quality Control Techs, and Receptionists.
Share any best practices or modifications with the end-users which will enhance their knowledge and also help in improving the workflow.
Ensure a consistent Image quality on all the diagnostic workstations and assist in doing periodic Preventive Maintenance on the system, again from an Application view point.
Act as the second line of technical support for all informatics systems after the MID Informatics Team.

Carry out Training sessions for Consultant Radiologists, Medical Consultants, Medical Specialists, Nurses, Radiology staff members and explain the workflow design.
Performs essential training for Out-patient consultants and Consultant Radiologists.
Clinical Application Support:
Monitor Radiology Reception, Radiologist workstation, Transcriptions and Radiologist workflow.

Perform the IFL Cable connection, and making network connections for IDU & ODU.
