As a lecturer of computer science, I have taught core courses in the field such as Object-Oriented Programming with C++ and Java, Artificial Intelligence (practical laboratory sessions with Prolog, Python and Java), Expert Systems, Computer Networking and Data Communication (using Cisco switches and routers), Systems Administration (using Windows servers and Unix servers), Database Design (I used Dia for Modeling and MySQL for implementation), Internet Programming (using HTML and JavaScript for client-side and PHP and Java for the server-side with MySQL and Microsoft Access databases.
Planning, organizing, staffing and controlling the ICT office
Developing technical specification and performing procurement of ICT equipments
Planning and implementing ICT service improvement such as Internet Connection utilization
Network expansion for different labs that are established with the aim to increase resource sharing
Bandwidth optimization using squid proxy that runs on Linux/Debian operating systems
Troubleshooting and Maintenance of Systems and Networks
Design, Install, manage and maintain computer networks;
Troubleshoot and maintain computer systems;
Study, Analyze, design and implement software systems;
Conduct short-term training
I completed my master's degree with a GPA of 3.94 out of 4; My master's thesis was on Statistical Machine Translation from English to Afaan Oromoo (one of the local languages of Ethiopia). I stood first in my class.
I completed B.Sc. in Information Systems with a GPA of 3.59 out of 4.0 and I was third in rank from my class.
