Total years of experience :15 years, 0 Months
Responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing aircraft structures, engines
and other mechanical systems when necessary on daily, Through(TRU) and Pre-
flight checks prior aircraft departure.
•Responsible for improving flight safety and fuel efficiency aboard the aircraft.
•Using instruments to measure wear and replace defective components of the
aircraft when snags are found during flight phases:take-off, cruise and landing
and taxi phases.
•My concern was to primarily improve the overall flight safety, fuel efficiency as
well as addressing and reducing the environmental impact of air travel.
•Regularly check that the engines, airframes and mechanical systems of the
aircraft are in working order.
•Replace faulty parts or systems of the aircraft. •Test the parts and systems of
the aircraft to ensure they work.
•Maintain and service the aircraft.
•Keep records of all aircraft repairs.
•Conduct pre-flight checks to detect any defective equipment
Carrying out routine maintenance of the aircraft on the ground during the
turnaround between flights, carrying out full servicing of the aircraft within the
hangar at regular intervals
•Taking reports from the air crew and reading the technical log to identify
difficulties experienced during flight.
•Checking all parts which affect the safety of the aircraft, such as
tyres, brakes, hydraulics and pneumatic systems, instruments, flight control
systems and navigation and communication systems, use of electronic testing
equipment to find faults.
•Repairing and replacing parts, using a range of hand and power tools.
•Arranging refuelling and completing worksheets and having.
Performed maintenance incorporating proper usage of hand tools.
•Replaced both mechanical & electrical/electronic components using hand
tools.
•Dismantled machines and removed parts for repair using hand tools, chain
falls, jacks, cranes or hoists.
•Repaired or replaced parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves and bearings,
using mechanic's hand tools.
•Dismantled and re-assembled equipment, using hoists and hand tools, such as
transfer cases, hydraulic cylinders, bell housings.
•Performed organizational, intermediate and depot level structural modification
and repair using engineering drawings using safety procedures and
specifications.
•Used precision measuring equipment, engineering drawings, blueprints and
manufacturer's specifications to analyse components to ensure airworthiness.
Educators
•Plan and Prepare Lessons:had to plan and prepare lessons for my students
based on my subject matter expertise which is mathematics and physical
sciences.
•Had to identify the particular curriculum standard being taught and then had to
decide on how to teach the identified standard.
•Preparing for the lesson was including the gathering all the materials
necessary for any activity included in the lesson.
•Had to deliver lectures and to facilitate student discussions, had to participate
in Staff meetings with other educators, parents and administrators to strategise
on how to best meet students needs. •Had to plan, test, monitor and grade
student work and keeping track of grades to monitor student progress.
•Had a responsibility for addressing student concerns related to their grades
and understanding of the student material had to keep students engaged the
skill that required me to have creativity, compassion and patience and be able to
connect with my students.
•Had to start and continue with extra classes to accommodate some learners
who have learning difficulties, so they can achieve good marks especially in
Mathematics.
