The Higher Colleges of Technology is the largest higher education institution in the UAE, renowned for its leadership in applied and technological education. Around 23, 000 students attend 16 modern men’s and women’s campuses across the UAE.
Role Snapshot:
Managing infrastructure of RedHat Linux servers, Hyper-V VM, Oracle Exadata Engineered System, Block and File storages, SAN environment, Symantec Enterprise Veritas Netbackup, Veeam backup system and physical tape libraries environments.
Administration and Monitoring Blackboard Learning Management System and Banner ERP Infrastructure.
Plan and update Linux Operating System security patches, storages software and firmware update.
Creating, Installing and configuring new RedHat VMs in Microsoft Hyper-V.
Capacity planning of block and file Storages and backup storages.
Vendor management for Oracle, DellEMC, RedHat and Veritas Netbackup support.
Reporting and documentation related to RedHat Linux Servers, centralized Storages and Backup Systems.
Projects:
• Office365 and SaaS backup solution for O365 migration to cloud, assessment is in progress.
• Infrastructure and Data Backup systems consolidation project completed, in 2022.
• Veritas Netbackup systems upgraded from 8.1 to 8.3 in all HCT campuses across UAE.
• BBLearn video storage configuration to migrate data from cloud to HCT data center.
• Backup capacity planning and cost reduction. HP MSL 3040 Tape Library configuration with Veritas Netbackup and Veeam backup application and SAN configuration.
• Black Board LMS (Learning Management System) upgrade, prepared new infrastructure for BBLearn LMS application including Servers, Storages, Backups, Enhancement.
• Technology refresh related to SAN storages and Dell server virtualization with new SAN and Network storages including NFS and CIFS data migration, design, configuration, firmware upgrades.

Etihad Airway is one of the leading Airline in UAE. Etihad Airways has its own MRO (Maintenance Repair and Overhual) facility and also provide MRO services to other Airlines in UAE.
Role Snapshot:
Managed & Monitored IT Data Centre facility and maintained security access.
Managed Oracle Sun Servers, Hitachi SAN storages and Symantec NetBackup devices.
Administration of Solaris Operating System, Hitachi SAN Storage and Symantec NetBackup environments, including New Installation, configuration and upgrade for existing cMRO and ERP system environment.
Troubleshoot of Solaris Operating System, Oracle Sun hardware, Hitachi Storage and Symantec NetBackup environments.
Projects:
• Implemented of Oracle Super Cluster T5-8 half rack for Oracle ERP solution for complex maintenance repair and overhaul (cMRO) and E-Business Suite environment. Oracle Super Cluster major components are two T5-8 server, ExaData Cell Servers, IB switches and ZS3 Storage appliance.
• GTM (Global Trade Management) project, Installed and configured Solaris 11 environment through auto installer AI (jump start).
• Oracle DB 11g upgrade project, upgrade Solaris 10 OS, Solaris patches, Sun Cluster and QFS high availability software in production, testing and development environments which are running on Oracle Sun Sparc M8000.
• Hitachi Storage Upgrade project, upgrade Hitachi USP VM 9985 capacity, cache and shared memory in both production and Disaster environments.
Emirates Telecommunications Corporation, is the largest telecommunications and VAS (value added services) services provider in the UAE.
Role Snapshot:
Administration of more than 600 multi-vendor and multi-platform Servers including Solaris 10, 9 & 8, Redhat Linux and HP-Unix.
Provided supports L1, L2 and L3 to all ICT departments.
Managed and administration of core business environments include e-Business services running on Weblogic and Sun Java Web One (iPlanet) under DMZ, ERP (HRMS) running on the Oracle Sun platform, Veritas Cluster, Customer billing in house application running on Oracle/Sun high end platform, Oracle/Sun Cluster and Oracle RAC.

• HP open view 7.X implementation project, Involved in Implementing HP Open View 7.x system for monitoring of more than 200 multi-vendor systems.
MDS UAE is a group of companies, providing varies IT related services such as Data Center/Critical Infrastructure Consultancy, Intergradation & Operation Software Solutions & Professional Severs, Computer Systems & Networking stand by power systems & telecom shelters.

Provided hardware and software support to various privileged clients like Etisalat, ADCO, Exxon Mobile, ADIC, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Information, ZADCO and etc.
