- Responsible for planning, developing and buying materials, parts, supplies and equipment in a timely and cost effective way timely manner while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifications.
- Order materials and services as per negotiated and appropriately approved.
- Prepare purchase requisitions, approve and issues purchase orders in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions.
- Discuss defective or unacceptable new goods or services with users, vendors and others to determine cause of problem and take corrective and preventative action.
- Work closely with engineering dept. to support the development of procurement specifications and responsible for supplier evaluation and complains process.
- Manage vendor relationships and assist in building
- Negotiate with suppliers to get competitive prices & to reach better payment terms.
- Responsible for cutting cost activities as for continuous improvement.
- Following up the shipments situation till having final clearance.
- Monitor supplier’s performance against contractual obligations, scorecards and key performance indicators.
- Provide Total Cost of Ownership analysis, as the basis of supplier assessment.
- Initiate vendor quality management, improvements including evaluating process capability, tracking delivery, output, and reporting of supplier performance.
- Communicate supplier assessment with a cross functional team to approve appropriateness and quality of supplier’s product and service.
- Categorizing the suppliers based on assessment report to identify the recommended supplier and the low performing supplier.
- Communicate the assessment report with the low performing suppliers with the needed development rec.commendations.
- Run the ERP supplier development module to generate the documented Approved Vendor List.
- Negotiate the suppliers to develop the long term and short term contract
