Description of Project:
Prior to this project, BNY Mellon Trade Execution group used to manually process all the Mutual
Fund of Fund trades for RBS Asset management. Every day, on average 100 trades was manually
created in AIS-FHFTE. The Process was time consuming (approx 20mins for creating a single trade)
and prone to errors. With this initiative the entire end-end trade process will be fully automated,
with error/acknowledgement notification facility via email. With the help of scheduler process, the
trades will be automatically uploaded into the trade execution platform i.e. AIS-FHFTE. Manual

intervention will be totally removed. The end result is faster processing of trades with reduced errors
and reduced FTE cost.

Description of Project:
With the introduction of various directives like the Dodd-Frank Act (US) and AIFMD (EU) that
directly impacts Hedge Fund (HF) and Fund of Hedge Funds (FoHF), BNY Mellon started this
initiative to provide transparency around the FoHF managers and their associated transactions.
* It is intended to give the FoHF client a first-hand view of all their trade requests (like
subscriptions, redemptions etc.) via BNY Mellon CONNECT.
* This project will enable the BNYM operations and FoHF Managers to share and review
relevant trade level documents & comments.
* The document reviews will be automatically triggered via emails/application triggers &
tracked which will help faster trade review closers
* This project increase client usability experience and makes the trade confirmation process
more robust and transparent.
5+ years of experience in Banking and Financial Services Industry as Software Quality Analyst, Business Tester and Test Engineer.
Experience in multiple projects in the areas of Financial Markets and Trade Processing, Payments and Cash Management, Core Banking & Staff Applications.
Experience in validating the functional and non-functional requirements for ambiguity, scope creep, detail and testability.
Experience in working with Stakeholders on defining and managing the requirements, change requests, test process, test plan, tasks, estimates, deliverables, defect and execution status reports, forecasts, metrics, issues, risks, expectations and assumptions.

Description of Project:
In order to facilitate both Client and Management reporting, checklists for all current Accounting
Systems, as well as for manual checklists for each Major Fund Type, are now available in the
Dashboard. These checklists are available globally, subject to a user’s individual access. Because the
two Accounting Checklist Inquiry Screens are identical.
A Checklist is created to augment trade tracking functionality. Checklists are linked to workflows
and transaction action types such that steps in a workflow can be tracked. This is necessary because
certain steps in a workflow can be very detailed and in order to mark a step as complete several
items need to be checked. A checklist in such a complex and critical scenario will facilitate the user
to track trades step by step without missing on important items.

Description of Project:
Using cost center as the common identifier from an HR and Client perspective the tool will conjoin
both employee and client to an input page where a manager can track FTE allocations for the
employees and clients they manage. For each service contributing to a client’s production a Fund
Setup input screen will need to be populated. Once the start date, location, and cost center(s) are
populated for the service the system will allocate the client and its related funds and the staff to an
FTE input grid for a manager to populate. An initial breakout of 16 services will be instituted(NAV
Accounting, Portfolio Accounting, Transfer Agency, Financial Reporting, Reconciliation, Trade
Capture, Middle Office, Client Service, Custody FoF, Asset Validation, Price Verification, Custody,
Tax, Wire Transfer, Market Data, Corporate Actions). At the time of live roll out several more
services will be added in order to attain full service coverage for AIS worldwide.

Description of Project:
On July 1, 2014, the new FATCA guidelines go into effect. The new guidelines require the
identification of US taxpayers who hold financial assets in non-US institutions. This requires
institutions to follow guidelines to classify account holders accordingly. Currently, there is no means
to identify and document to the new level in which FATCA requires. Also within AIS, there is no
centralized location/system to store and access investor tax forms and information. These forms are
required to document and classify.
This is a regulatory requirement. Our compliance also provides a service added to client so they are
able to comply with the guidelines for their clients.
Below are the high level requirements to be incorporated in Praeeo application
a. Provides an option to setup a Fund as “Manually Classified”
b. Ability to manually change the FATCA fields for the investor belongs to the manually
classified funds.
c. Maker /Checker functionality for the FATCA Classification fields in fund and investor level.
d. Delete Contact functionality for the FATCA Classification fields in fund and investor level.
Generate Investor Extract / Gold Tier Inbound file - Automated with updated fields

e. Process Gold Tier Outbound File and update the new FATCA fields in Praeeo application
