• Support procurement in formalizing Contracts with companies and service providers.
• Based on agreed contracts establish amicable SLA/SOPs with service providers and ensure resources and facilities in place to meet handling requirements and standards.
• Monitor Health and Safety Regulations are adhered as per manual and procedures during flight handling, further assist in Accident/Incident investigations & reporting.
• Regular audits and meetings with service providers to review and evaluate handling, procedures, manuals, files and training records are followed at required standards.
• Maintain professional and cordial relations with various authorities to streamline flight handling process in accordance to the laws and regulations of the state.
• Interactions with ALOs of Embassies, QCAA for updated knowledge of policies documents requirements and security alerts. Introduce and adapt controls on same.
• Assist schedule planning by liaising with authorities and ascertain schedules & slots.
• Proactively offer cost saving proposals to enable competitive budget planning along with achieving targets and maintaining the seamless service excellence.
• Establish job descriptions, plan rosters, leave, ensure performance management.
• Timely meetings, reports and feedback on performance, formulate action plan for areas of concern.
• Ensure Safe, Secure and punctual flight operations along with excellent customer service in an efficient and cost effective manner.
• Update and transmittal of Airline operational and Handling Manuals, Emergency Response Manuals, delay, disruption, diversion & Business continuity plans.
• Safe and secure Flight Operations, also implementing and sharing airline specific safety awareness program with GHA and airport authorities.
• Establish and ensure security procedures are in line with the company requirements and CAA approved Air Carrier Security Program.
• Conduct periodic staff performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback.
• Proactive plans to control cost, optimum resource utilization and achieve targets.
• Allocating and supervising the team with a focus to efficiently achieve and surpass operational targets along with excellent customer service quality and standards.
• Monitoring performance of GHA customer service and flight handling professionals, further guide them to deliver impeccable service and exceed customer expectations.
• Monthly audit and reporting on all areas of flight handling, customer service and budget control to the line manager.
Supervising and controlling flight-handling activities such as flight editing, check-in, transfers, boarding etc. in order to ensure an optimum standard of passenger service, ensuring that all ground services business is delivered in accordance with the Kuwait Airways values.
Ensuring that opportunities to optimize excess baggage revenues are identified and delivered.
Records and reports all aviation issues to appropriate personnel, include: Flight Handling Report (FHR), Incident Reports, maintenance issues, etc
Ensures Ramp Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Protocols are adhered to at all times
Taking an active role in Emergency Response and Business Continuity exercises.
Ensures company Management is aware of issues at Ramp daily.
Liaise with Dispatch, Warehouse and Operational staff to ensure correct and timely cross load of cargo and baggage.
Ensures accurate aircraft cargo documents are maintained and reported at the close of each business day.
Holding Kuwait Airways load control license for A320/A310 and A300.
Excellent working knowledge in Cargo spot (Semi Mechanised) System.
Cargo Planning Manifesting.
ULD Planning and control for Kuwait Airways..
Handling Kuwait Airways VIP and VVIP flights.
