• Over All responsibility of P & L (budgetary) of 5 PL Logistics company .Develop & Manage annual budget, ensuring financial objectives are met.
• Responsible for attainment of profit objectives of contracts, providing financial analysis &decision making for customers.
• Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of business requirements, pricing , improving efficiency & increasing departmental profits while managing company’s over all operation .
• Responsible for Managing 20000 Sqm Warehouses(Frozen /Chilled /Temp. Controlled ) & Fleet of 40 vehicles for UAE distribution activity.
• Responsible for New Warehousing project of 30000 SQM in Abu Dhabi .
• Set Departmental goals/KPI’s, track KPI’s, develop cost reduction strategies and ensure Company Policy & Procedures are complied with.
• Leading, directing, managing and coordinating end-to-end logistics, warehousing, transportation, Fleet Management and customer service activities to maximize operational efficiency and minimize multiple handling of material for UAE operation.
• Responsible for Designing, Planning & Managing all company resources to enhance value to all company stake holders .
• Preparing, maintaining and communicating all operational SOPs/ KPIs. Developing and directing programs to ensure the efficient and cost effective operation and utilization of the facility /resources.
• Accountabe for Internal/External Logistics Operations of materials, man & equipments for Al Watania Project at Al Qassim.
• Planned, organized and executed all inbound as well as outbound transportation requirements to deliver the material in good condition, appropriate time and correct location.
• Involved in distribution planning and optimization of finished goods, grains, feed, RM, packing material, optimization of loads & dispatch execution, implemeting dispatch planning based on the DRP’s, customer orders and ensuring deliveries on the right time at the right location.
• Arranged grain discharging operations from ship and transportation of grains (corn & soya bean meal) from Jeddah port to project silos. Instrumental in the management & operation of the Company owned fleet for internal operations.
• Managed logistics resources, scrutinized the cost, quality & efficiency of material movement, receiving, tracking, loading as well as unloading etc.
• Directed and liaised with the subordinates and the activities of operations department in order to obtain optimum utilization of equipment, facilities, and human resources.
• Accomplished financial objectives by preparing an annual budge, scheduled expenditures, analyzed variances and initiated corrective actions.
• Took adequate measures to monitor and analyze performance of Logistics Service Providers pertaining to their cost, quality as well as delivery norms.
• Involved in warehouse operation management like dry & refrigerated - finished goods, raw/ packing materials and spare parts.
• Planned, coordinated, managed, controlled and executed all activities related to receiving, storage, inventory management, inbound & outbound material movement and documentation.
• Handled all activities involved in Supply Chain Management such as Procurement/Purchases, warehousing, inventory control & logistics.
• Managed all warehouse management activities of of Raw Material, Packaging Material, Spare Parts & Finished Goods of Kodak India Limited - Manufacturing Plant including 3 PL activities.
• Handled all activities of FG Distribution of Kodak products all over India & Export Markets.
• Logistics: Supervising logistic operations viz., Sea/Air freights & inland transportation upto factory warehousing. Coordinating with Custom House Agents, C&F Agents and other external agencies for ensuring timely clearances and cost effective transport solutions. Negotiating with transporters, shippers, etc. to ensure seamless and cost-effective movement of consignment.
• Commercial Operations: Managing the dispatches, import and export operations, keeping compliance with Central Excise &custom laws, notifications, tariffs, RBI rules and guidelines. Ensuring timely and maximum realization of export incentives.
• Handled all activities of Procurement - Sourcing, Expedition & Vendor Development.
• Responsible for improvements in Product Delivery, introduction of New Distribution techniques, reduction of lead time, reduction of logistics costs etc.
• Responsible for Selection of Logistics Service providers & timely evaluation of their performances.
• Managing & Co Ordination with different Inspection agencies, Shipping Lines, Air Lines, Freight Forwarders, Transport Companies, CHA’s & their performance evaluation & Follow up.
• Responsible for Timely Delivery of Finished products, Lead time monitoring for Inbound/out bound material, Cycle Count, Inventory Management etc.
• Working knowledge in ISO (9000 Series & 14000), MRP
• Had additional responsibility of Plant Safety Officer for Kodak India Ltd. Goa, India
