Key role in Fieldwide Pump maintenance preparation, execution, repair and troubleshooting;
collaborating and driving integration on a daily basis with a wide / diverse range of stakeholders, in line
with 2 years, 4 months, 5 weeks planning.
Provide input to his leader the development of annual operational and capital budgets.

Responsible to lead activities requiring using specific contractor through SAP (WO’s, PR’s, PO’s, )
workshop repair onshore and site offshore interventions, and manage Contractor quality related to
Pump Maintenance activities

Offshore Mechanical Supervisor at Dubai Petroleum Establishment (South West Fateh field) -
rotational position 28 days on / 28 days off.
Plans, supervises and participates in the installation, maintenance, repair and test of a wide variety of
offshore mechanical equipment (including gas turbines, compressors, pumps, etc).
Plans and supervises the day to day maintenance, repair, removal and replacement of mechanical
systems, supervising the activities of company employees and contracted technicians.
Participates in or carries out troubleshooting of complex and routine faults as required. Ensures that
maintenance schedules are adhered to, records are updated and that all activities are carried out in
accordance with company HSE policies and procedures

Maintenance engineer at Marathon Oil Equatorial Guinea Gas Plant (MEGPL and offshore platforms) -
rotational position 10 weeks on / 3 weeks off.
Responsible for supporting offshore (five Alba field offshore platforms) and onshore (MEGPL)
maintenance operations in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner ensuring compliance with
Company and Legislative requirements.
Provide technical support for maintenance operations involving the installation of new equipment,
modification of existing equipment and repair and maintenance of all facility and infrastructure support
systems.

In the position of Senior Reliability & Condition Monitoring Engineer some of the main tasks/duties
include:
 Provide condition monitoring services for offshore assets critical and principal rotating
equipment’s like:
 ABB GT-35C2, Ruston TB5000 and Solar Mars 100 gas turbines;
 Dresser-Rand reciprocating compressors;
 Man-Turbo twin screw compressors;
 Sulzer barrel type water injection pumps;
 Rolls-Royce and Lips FPSO thrusters;
 Process centrifugal pumps;
 Wartsila and Cunnings diesel generator;
 ABB and Siemens electric motor and alternators;
 Fire water pumps;
 Emergency diesel generators;
 Deliver reliability report and analysis for critical and principal rotating equipment’s;
 Vibration condition monitoring collection and analysis using systems like: Pruftecnick VibExpert
portable collector, Omnitrend Software, National Instruments NI 9234 signal acquisition modules and NI software Signal Express;
 Lube oil sample collection and analysis;
 Motor current analysis (MCA) for critical asynchronous electric motors;
 Centrifugal pumps field performance tests;
 Field alignment of rotating equipment using laser alignment systems like Pruftecnik Rotalign Ultra - electric motor/ compressor, electric motor/centrifugal pump, diesel engine/alternator, etc;
 Troubleshooting and failure analysis of rotating equipment and their associated systems (instrumentation, controls, lubrication, vibration monitoring systems, etc);
 Reciprocating compressors condition and performance monitoring using CPI Valve Alert System and PV diagram collecting systems like RecipTrap;

Reliability engineer for the main dynamic equipment of the gas plant:
 Sales gas compressors - Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) barrel type centrifugal
compressors, model 4V4: 16 000 HP, 9765 rpm equipped with dry gas seals;
 Sales gas compressors - Dresser Rand barrel type centrifugal compressors, model Datum
D12R4S: 21 000 HP, 8239 rpm with dry gas seals;
 Propane refrigeration compressors - Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) barrel type centrifugal
compressors, model 5V5B: 10 000 HP, 9765 rpm equipped with dry gas seals;
 Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) impulse type back pressure steam turbine, model 5BL-5: 10
000 HP, 5900 - 9765 rpm;

Main responsibilities and tasks as Reliability Improvement Technician of dynamic equipment:

Reliability technician of the principal dynamic equipment of the site: Dresser-Rand centrifugal
compressors (21 MW, 10 MW and 5 MW) from the Ethylene Plant, Burkhart F6 hyper
compressors (6.6 kW, 2000 bar) of the LDPE Plant, Flender-Bocholt 261 F 130 Flender extruder
gear box (6MW) of the HDPE Plant, Dresser-Rand reciprocal compressors (1 MW) and other
equipment’s (steam turbines, centrifugal pumps, electrical motors, gear boxes) in terms of:
conditioning monitoring trough vibration monitoring, “trouble-shouting” actions, correction and
identification of maintenance bad practice/bad actuators, coordination and assistance of major
overhauls and repairs and other reliability activities.
- Analysis and implementation of conditioning monitoring new techniques at the site: orbit analysis in
plain bearings, vibration time-wave form analysis, spectral analysis of the electrical motor current,
shat position analysis of the shaft in plain bearings and vibration phase analysis;
- Conditioning monitoring trough vibration monitoring with Entek E-Monitor Odyssey software
(version 3.20) and Bruel & Kjaer Compass software, vibration collection and analysis with Entek
data collector DataPac 1250/1500, Diagnostic Instruments PL-302 Two Channel, Bruel & Kjaer
Vibration Analyzer Type 2515 and vibration racks: Bentley Nevada (3500 and 3300 series) and
Bruel & Kjaer.
- Mechanical and vibration analysis of process piping and high pressure piping (LDPE plant) trough
vibration measurement and finite element calculation with ANSYS software.
- Participation at different investigation commissions of accidents/incidents in which mechanical
equipment’s were involved.
- Responsible technician for the high pressure technology applied on

Management of the maintenance team and of Health & Safety issues of the club. Responsible for the
maintenance of the following equipment’s:
 Air conditioned units ( UTAS, UTANS, chillers, pumps, ventilators, etc);
 Swimming pools (pumps, reservoirs, filtration system, etc);
 Hot water production (boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, reservoirs, etc );
 Gym equipment’s (bicycles, tread mills, etc);
 Remaining club equipment’s;

Inspection engineer in the Structural Integrity Evaluation Group (GAIE) from the Research &
Development department at ISQ

The Structural Integrity Evaluation Group (GAIE) job was to perform remaining life assessment and
maintenance of industrial equipment’s (steam boilers, steam turbines, piping, furnaces, reactors and
other high temperature equipment’s). Main responsible and/or principal coordinator in Structural
Integrity Evaluation jobs done at the Electrical Power Station of Setúbal, Carregado, Sines and
petrochemical plants (Borealis in Sines, Portugal)
