Currently engaged as a Project Management Consultant \[Principal Engineer (Const. Inst.)\] at IOCL site, Paradeep, Orissa for IOCL Paradip Refinery Project. Major activities as PMC is MAC co-ordination with Honeywell DCS, LSTK Packages, Vendors & Sub-Vendors Management, support Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Startup Management activities.

System Front:
Managed the Design Engineering, Project Execution of Industrial Control System and field instrument standardization, using standards IEEE, ANSI, SHELL, SAMSS and SES.
To manage all phases of the projects, including design analysis and finalization. Issue detailed project scheduled up to L4 in Primavera P6. Involvement in preparation, issue and implementation of detailed Engineering packages / documents, work packs, drawings, calculation notes and datasheets. Generate the scope document for supply with respect to Control Systems requirements, field instruments, major sub-system equipment packages. Generate scope of work including cost estimation for sub-vendor contracting, risks and mitigation plans for assigned projects. Finalization of bill of material, purchase orders, recommended spare parts and selection of field instrumentation. Liaise closely with the System Engineers & Process Engineers, in order to manage the design consistency at all stages of the project. Liaise closely with the Clients Instrument, Electrical and Maintenance Departments in design of Distributed Control System as per project specifications. Liaise with Safety Team in Safety Validation and review processes for FGAS, ESD/SIS/SSD, safety life cycle including HAZOP, LOPA and SIL analysis. Assist and share knowledge with subordinates in project design standardization.
Lead role in the generation of the GA/IA in AutoCAD 2007, instrument / equipment lists and Input-Output (I/O) Data Base from project P & ID and specifications. Supports the rest of the team and proposes alternative courses of action, wherever possible, to facilitate efficient project progress. Participate in regular meetings to keep abreast with all issues relating to the Project. Discusses and reviews opportunities for the optimization of assigned work programs. Liaise with the Procurement department to validate the technical requirements and ensure P.Os are released in time as per project schedules. Manage the preparation of project budgets and cost forecasts. Participate in vendor evaluations, vendor finalization and sub-vendor expedition. To manage the consolidation of profitability, Invoices, Running Bills, summary Account Receivables and Project Gross Margins. To follow up with Clients / Vendors for Account Receivables and Invoices Plan, define and manage the requirements for the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for Control System, field instruments, Equipment Packages as required by project definitions. Provide Technical inputs, method statements for Hot Cut-Over to the definition of the SAT, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning activities according to the plant operations methodology. To form and manage the Commissioning Team in all phases of site execution. Assesses the design management as per project specification and prepare the deviation, additional scope statement, variation orders and provide after analysis recommendations to senior management. Ensures project reviews and quality assurance procedures take place in all assigned projects. To prepare planned site execution schedules and liaise with EPC and End User for smooth implementation.
Participate in Quality Audits, Health Safety & Environment programs and conduct HSE programs to make sure the project team complies with Quality and HSE standards. Strictly follow the Business Ethics framed by company, performs similar other or related duties as and when assigned by direct supervisor.
Field Front:
Experience in control room activities, Plant shutdown, emergency shutdown systems, Fire and Gas and AFG30/AFV10D/AFV30D controllers. Interfacing of 3RD Party Systems like CCTV, HVAC, CCS, GE VMS, Siemens, AB, MODBUS to Yokogawa System. Liaise with stores, Engineers, Process Personnel at the Plant premises during installation, erection and commissioning stages during the Project Implementation stage. Experience in erection, installation, commissionig and maintenance.
Key performance activities include maintenance/projects execution co-ordination/pre-commissioning/commissioning/modifications of control systems hardware / software, maintaining spares in terms of hardware and software backups. Interacting with the co-workers through the ERP system “MAXIMO”. Execute the tasks in accordance with the tasks assigned by the ERP system and make sure that the plant systems are available for operations at all times. Handle the at most tense situations without loss of productions. Participate in project execution, co-ordination and implementation. Following systems are involved in the process.

Project Engineering: Executed projects in Control System / SACADA System for Clients: BAPCO, ALBA, Ministry of Water & Electricity & Ministry of Works.
