-Provide admission care of babies including assessment of general condition
-Plan, implement &evaluate care given to the patient in an effective&organized manner
-Demonstrate competence of Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation technique
-Attend&receive babies during cesarian section&assist the physician in immediate resuscitation
-Assist the physician during invasive procedures such as intubation, umbilical chateterization, chest tube insertion, central line insertion, exchange transfusion
-Caring of babies under high dependency care, intermediate care including premature babies& phototherapy
-Effective medication administration as per policy
-Performs patient care including immunization as required
-Maintain confidentiality of patent records
-Discharge babies with the mother and give health teaching to the parents regarding breastfeeding, bath, cord care and outpatient&vaccination follow up
-Compliance with infection control policy
-Complies with established Nursing Department policy & procedures
-Coordinate with fellow staff nurses and doctors on patient care and evaluation process
-Receive patients from Emergency unit & outpatient clinic as per policy
-Plan, implement and evaluate care given to assigned patient in an effective and organized manner
-Provide for the physical, psychological&social needs of the patients&families
-Set up equipments for&assist physicians with diagnostic&therapeutic procedures
-Maintain&update all relevant documents/medical records as per policy
-Prepare, administere&documents the administration of oral, parenteral, topical medications as per prescribed by the physician
-Maintain the confidentiality of patient records
-Demonstrate competence of Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation technique
-Maintain acountability for narcotics and controlled drugs
-Participate in the rehabilitation&discharge planing of patients and families
-Give teaching with regards about nursing care and participate in family education
