Review the QCP, Project Specification & Method of Statement, Maintaining Quality related records, Raising and resolving of Non-Conformity Reports (N.C.R) & Corrective Action Reports (C.A.R) and Site Observation Reports. Ensuring stage wise inspection as per Inspection Test Plan (ITP).
Codes and standards used are ASME 31.3, ASME 31.1, ASME BPV code Sect. I, II, V, VIII, & IX & AWS D1.1 various other client’s Specification.
Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and international standards.
Establishing the WPS and witnessing PQR & WPQ for SMAW, GTAW & FCAW process according to ASME Sec-IX, AWS D1.1 Standards for Carbon Steel, Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel and Dissimilar Material.
Ensure & inspect the material and welding consumables certificate as per standard.
Witness welder’s qualification, issue respective cards and maintain qualification records.
Monitoring the baking of low hydrogen electrodes and inspect that welders are qualified to perform the assign job as per their qualification.
Verify records of Calibration, Inspection and Test equipment.
Inspect the piping & structural works during marking, cutting, fit-up and welding stage to ensure compliance with contract, code& WPS requirements.
Prepare daily Fit up and welding reports.
Coordinate with client representative for daily piping line inspection.
Witness & Verify NDT inspections are carried out by qualified personnel and the records are properly maintained.
Radiographic film interpretation and evaluation in compliance with relevant codes.
Monitoring the PWHT temperature and chart.
Execute the specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation activities on site
Issue the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, support the Quality Control Manager/Supervisor for nonconformance reports, verifying conformity of the work
specified Quality Requirements and ensuring that the inspections and controls are carried out and documented in accordance with the Quality Control Plans
Verify records of Calibration, Inspection and Test equipment.
Verify welding parameters and consumables during installation/construction activities
Verify procedures and welders qualifications
Check the availability and suitability of the welding equipment, filler material, pre-heating, welding, heat treatment, bevels, the extent of the repairs made by the various welders (taking any corrective action required), the heat treatment record diagrams
Perform pipes line up check, ensuring that all installed pipe/fittings are compliant to the correct specification and that the material is in accordance with the specified material traceability requirements
Carry out visual inspections and issues relevant reports
Ensure that all welding, heat treatment and any hardness testing are in compliance with the relevant codes and specifications
Radiographic film interpretation and evaluation in compliance with relevant codes.
Orderly collect and manage/check documents certifying tests, controls and inspections documents, ensuring that all welding and testing related records form a complete package and reflect the As Built
Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Quality Control Plans/Inspection Test
Review welding requirements for field erected structures, vessels, tanks, boilers and other process plants.
Ensure that the vendor Drawings as to be suitable for our specification and as per relevant codes API 650, API 620 & API 625.
Checking of Key Plans, Plot Plans, Equipment Layouts, Piping Layouts, Support Layouts, Piping Isometric drawings & support sketches.
Preparing Welding Procedure Specification and Procedure Qualification Record.
Preparing Job procedure and ITP for the Project.
Vendor Material inspection and prepare relevant document.
Co-ordinates with the clients for project inspection and stage wise activities for witness/Hold points.
Identify non-conformities, and ensure any corrective actions are implemented and verification takes place.
Preparing Documentation and monitoring quality control activates.
Monitoring instrument calibration and checking relevant document.
Dimensional inspection, plumb out, straightness & radius checking of completed assemblies prior to release for welding.
Verify welding parameters and consumables during installation/construction activities.
Inspecting & verify blasting & painting are carried out as per specification and proper records are maintained.
Conducting inspection of Wrapping, Coating & Holiday Testing for UG Piping
Inspecting Oil-chalk testing & Vacuum box testing of Tank bottom plate.
Inspecting inner bottom insulation of cryogenic tanks.
Responsible for maintain quality of welding and Radiography Interpretation.
Preparing Test pack for Hydro test of Tank & Interconnecting Piping.
Submission of Mechanical Completion Quality Package to Client for review and acceptance for availing of Discipline Completion, Mechanical Completion Certificates and Ready for Start-Up Certificates.
Ensure that adequate safety procedures are being followed while executing the job.
