With my previous experience in working as a hospital therapist, I am more comfortable with dealing with the different cases of patients and providing the right treatment according to the doctor’s directions.
Working as Spa Therapist in a Five Stars Hotel such as La Cigale Doha gave me the chance to practice both my sales and my therapist skills. Interacting on a daily basis with guests from different nationality and trying to upsell them treatments was very helpful also for my communications skills so I can relate and answer the needs of the guest.
Dubai was a great experience to my career. I was working as sales executive in a new country and in a cosmopolitan city such as Dubai, where more than 100 nationality lives. This was a chance for my communication skills to grow. Different nationalities means different culture and different approaches should be taken with every customer, and that what I was keeping in mind.
As a physical therapist my job included, diagnose and manage movement dysfunction and enhance physical and functional abilities, restore, maintain, and promote not only the optimal physical function but optimal wellness and fitness and optimal quality of life as it relates to movement and health .Also preventing the onset, symptoms, and progression of impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities that may result from diseases, disorders, conditions, or injuries.
Working in a hospital is a great push to the career of a therapist. He will be more in contact with Doctors and patients and like every career you need to attract people and make them comfortable with the work and service you are providing to make a good reputation of yourself and to have a long term relationship for them to recommend you to others.
Working in a chain of Beauty clinics was a great career launch for me for both as a sales person and as a therapist. My responsibilities were to perform the therapy sessions and to introduce and explain the procedures and services to the customers and trying to fit the best service according to their needs and expectations.
