My responsibility is the governance of the telecom order management function. This is responsible for orchestrating orders between order capture and all other supporting systems to the network systems. I am working within the Technical Design Authority (TDA) enterprise architecture team on the BSST program. I created and manage the order management blueprint enterprise architecture, facilitate design governance sessions and performed document design reviews.

My responsibility was the payments systems involved in South African EFT Debit and Credit within the bank. I worked as a payment solutions architect for Standard Bank creating a conceptual architecture for bulk EFT payments and solution architecture for EFT early debit order payments. I designed the solution architecture for the payment instruction order management, integration and fulfillment processes of a new EFT product that uses the ISO 20022 standard. Created the RFI for a new payments engine for Standard Bank and facilitated and assisted in RFP evaluation sessions.

I worked as a solution architect within MTN and participated in 5 major activities that included strategy definition and the writing or three high levels end to end solution designs focusing on the order management systems within mobile environment. This order management design specifically focused on fulfillment between BSS and OSS systems for mobile and fixed voice systems. I supported and facilitated technical integration sessions between billing, CRM and mobile technical domains by providing requirements and implementation guidance and critical deep technical evaluation of designs; analysis and documenting end to end designs; critically evaluating detailed designs; running designs sessions. I provided effort estimates and evaluating requirements. During this time I worked with integration, SOA, CRM, Retail Billing, Wholesale Billing, Provisioning, Real time charging and Rating systems as well as self-service channels. I created an enterprise product catalogue strategy for MTN that spoke to the integration between RODOD BSS and mobile OSS systems for an OPCO and across OPCOs

I spent a year at Eskom as a Contractor as a SmartPlant Solution Architect. This is shown as separate experience. At Aurecon I gained Government experience and was responsible to I write an RFP for the Consolidated Transport Data Bank, this work included business and systems analysis and solution architecture. I assisted in the evaluation and system analysis of the National Disaster Management Information System and performed an system analysis of Capital Project Management System.

I worked on the large Eskom Back-to-Basics (B2B) Engineering Tools Transformation Project (ETP) where i worked within the SmartPlant stream. My role was as the 2D Tools Solution Architect where I worked with the P&ID redraws team, ran requirements workshops, documented the system design and participated in solution design sessions. During later phases of the project he worked on the system design for the SmartPlant 3D Proof-of-Concept.

I performed the preliminary business analysis and documented user requirements specifications in regards to the loading of design information into SmartPlant and initial high-level requirements for the Front-End-Engineering-Design (FEED) integration to SmartPlant.

At Grintek Ewation I worked as a Software Product Engineer/Business Analyst at an Electronic Warfare company and was responsible for product engineering, analyses of system requirements, project and risk management. During this time I was exposed to the systems engineering processes where I was involved with defining system and software specifications for projects. I participated in system proposals and costing, attended tender meetings and identified risks and opportunities. I performed system analyses to define product software and software component requirements, methodology and practical application of systems engineering. I assisted in project management experience and participated in design review, defined and created software/system factory acceptance test documents. Planned and created work packages (cost and schedule) and work breakdown structures.

My work included software developing, project management and client support functions with the military industry. I also performed product management and business development to define software product structure and roadmaps. Captured client requirements and learned and worked with Internet and HF communication protocols and standards. Performed software engineering and Object-Orientated Design (OOD), analysis of current systems/solutions including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problems. Translated system requirements to tasks for developers, software development in C++/C#; design, development, execution and testing of information technology projects.
