Duties include maintaining Company wide HSE statistics. Reporting regularly to the management
on HSE topics. Assisting the tendering department with the HSE and security content for tenders
for contracts. Maintaining the Company HSEMS and associated documents. Carrying out audits
and inspections of Company work sites and offices to ensure that the Company HSEMS has been
implemented and that all procedures and contract requirements are being implemented. Carrying
out regular visits to all company operating sites to advise site management on HSE. Liaison with
clients and potential clients on the HSE and security requirements of contracts.
Consultant working for RPS Energy. Client HSE Representative for Total on a Dank Seismic Crew carrying out a 2D seismic survey in Kazakhstan. The initial 5 months were spent reviewing, revising and writing procedures for Dank’s use during the project.
Consultant working for RPS Energy. Client HSE Representative for Perenco on a Polaris Seismic Crew carrying out a 2D heliportable seismic survey in the Kurdish area of South East Turkey.

Writing a new company HSEMS and associated documents. Assisting with and completing the
HSE and security requirements for tenders for construction work in Iraq.
HSE Management training to comply with OGP Guidelines given to Senior and Project Managers.
Consultant working for RPS Energy. Completed an HSE Audit on behalf of Valeura Energy Inc on a Merty Seismic Crew carrying out a 2D vibroseis seismic survey in SE Turkey.
Consultant working for RPS Energy. Client HSE Representative for Wintershall Holding AG on a BGPI crew carrying out a 1, 500km 2D seismic survey in blocks 5 & 6 in Mauritania. HSE Audit completed on behalf of Wintershall.
Consultant working for RPS Energy. Client HSE Representative for Repsol YPF on a BGPI crew carrying out 2D seismic survey in block 10 in Mauritania.
Consultant working for RPS Energy. Client HSE Representative for StatoilHydro on a Geofizika Zagreb crew carrying out a 400km 2D seismic survey in the Kufra basin area of Libya.
Consultant working for RPS-GSR. Instructing Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management to Oil and Gas Producers (OGP) Guideline standards to personnel from BGP’s International and Domestic seismic operations at one of China National Oil Corporation (CNPC) training centres in China.
Continuation of 18 day courses to Domestic personnel also completed 4 x 10 day Train the Trainer Courses for 60 CNPC / BGP personnel.
Consultant working for RPS-GSR. Crew HSE Advisor on a UNGG seismic crew in the Ukraine, the crew were preparing for a seismic acquisition contract for Royal Dutch Shell.
Consultant working for RPS-GSR. Instructing Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management to Oil and Gas Producers (OGP) Guideline standards to personnel from BGP’s International and Domestic seismic operations at one of China National Oil Corporation (CNPC) training centres in China.
The training consisted of 10 day courses for International personnel and 18 day courses for Domestic personnel.
HSE Advisor working for Veritas DGC Ltd on their land seismic crews in Oman, Qatar and Libya. Main responsibilities included ensuring that the client and company HSE policies were implemented and adhered to; policy and procedures maintained and kept up to date, carrying out Health Risk Assessments and Job Safety Analysis on tasks. Organising training, instructing First Aid, H2S and fire fighting courses, maintaining various HSE training databases, incident investigation, entering HSE data into Veritas’s web based HSEMS databases, compiling reports and overseeing, as the senior HSE Advisor in Libya, the activities of one other HSE Advisor and two HSE Trainees.HSEMS databases, compiling reports and

HSE Co-ordinator with Truckoman LLC in Oman. Truckoman had a contract with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) to supply vehicles and manpower for rig moves and cargo haulage in South Oman. The workforce consisted of approximately 400 people the majority of which were Omani nationals with the remainder being expatriates from Asia and Europe. Truckoman had a mixed vehicle fleet consisting of heavy vehicles for rig moving, cranes, forklifts and light support vehicles. Responsible for ensuring that the client and company HSE policies and procedures were implemented and adhered to, training, maintaining HSE databases, incident investigation and controlling the activities of two HSE Advisors and two Assistant HSE Advisors.
Responsible for the day to
day running, the logistics and HSE for a large 3D seismic crew working in Oman for PDO.
Surveyor / Senior Surveyor / Party Chief with Rees Geophysical LLC in Oman, working on PDO contracts. Veritas DGC Ltd purchased Rees Geophysical LLC in June 1997.
Surveyor with Western Geophysical on seismic crews in Gabon and Yemen.
Surveyor with Prakla Seismos UK on a large 3D dynamite crew in Northern Germany.
Self employed financial advisor.
Served in the British Army. Trained as a Field Survey Technician. Served or worked in the following countries: UK, Germany, Cyprus, USA, Ascension Island, St Helena Island, Kenya, Oman, and Anguilla. Spent 8 years as a trade instructor at the Army Apprentice College, Chepstow and the School of Military Survey at Newbury. In Cyprus I was responsible for liaison between the British Military, the United Nations and the Cypriot Government for map supply and survey data, and for maintaining the International Boundary between the Sovereign Base Areas and the Republic of Cyprus. I retired with the rank of Warrant Officer Class One and my last appointment was as the Regimental Sergeant Major of the largest Military Survey unit in the British Army.
