Design vertical wind tunnels with the use of CFD and 3D Modeling software. End designs are manufactured and supplied to customers globally.
Assigned the task of creating an interpolation library in Python during the internship duration. Worked with the multidisciplinary design analysis team, specifically Justin Gray, to ensure the library’s compatibility with the next release of OpenMDAO.
A spring semester internship with the electronic packaging group at Hamilton Sundstrand, used to analyze the thermal properties of specific products. Much work was done in ANSYS Icepak on generated models of aerospace components in extreme heating conditions.
Main projects consisted of designing a new argon molten aluminum degasser, modifying sand mold cleaning stations, and performing CMM (coordinate measuring-machine) quality analysis.
