In my current role, I lead & train a team of 10 team members involved in the day-to-day operations of supply chain & cargo transport, dedicated to the UAE market. As part of the leadership team, my core responsibilities include devising market strategies and ensuring they are implemented and adhered to.
I work closely to pursue new markets opportunities, customer acquisition, distributor assessments, operational optimisation strategies, etc.
Additionally, I also lead cross-selling efforts to pitch our value proposition to key clients, to increase overall sales and profitability, along with effective stakeholder management.
Achievements:
• Developed a strategic growth plan for the local market & exceeded net sales by over 20% Y-o-Y.
• Supervised the profitability of business while mitigating the covid impact of 2020 & early 2021. Also introduced innovative technology to enhance cost reduction of operational expenses.
Headed Business development, channel sales, procurement & distribution operations across the UAE & Oman market for the timber trading giant firm while catering to a clientele of traders, stockists & timber distributors.
These involved major bulk wood products like hardwoods, softwoods, MDF, Plywood & panel products being supplied from China, Far East, Europe, Africa and India. A key aspect of my role was to review & advise the top management on volumes/prices/grades/origins, via evaluation on Microsoft CRM & related ERP modules.
Achievements:
• Consistent success on surpassing UAE target revenues of over US $ 50 million in UAE from 2013 till 2017,
including a personal accomplishment for target revenue of USD $20 million in 2016.
• Inspected the European Pollmeier (supplier) campus in Creuzberg - Thuringia, Germany and concluded a
certified study in Beechwood procurement, grading, product & process training.
Executed client acquisition & retention, lead generation, business development (corporate sales), process mapping & solutioning for the business process outsourcing division.
Co-ordinated the complete sales cycle of prospect generation, requirement identification, offering mix, tenders / RFI / RFP’s, negotiations and contractual formalities, streamlining of invoicing and collections.
Most projects included application processing, claims processing, service request processing, call center management, advisor licensing management, risk management services etc...
Achievements:
• Oversaw 3i Infotech BPO’s diversified foray into previously unchartered markets of Telecom, Retail, and Education & Logistics sectors. Served as an effective interlink between the Operations team of 3i Infotech BPO & the organization’s clients.
As part of the business development & marketing team, for the Chemicals, Materials & Foods division, I worked on B2B sales, lead generation & pre-sales activities to identify opportunities and gaps in client expectations for India & the Middle East. Reviewing the quality of syndicated research studies published, identifying potential problem areas, and providing guidance to the research team in restructuring the studies.
Also played a key role in managing & organizing of event summits like the Performance Plastics Summit, Strategic Management & Partnership Summit for Chemicals, GIL 2010, etc.
Achievements:
• Focused on revenue generation across new potential customers, in markets where Frost & Sullivan lacked visible presence.
• Providing valuable inputs on business processes and strategy, standardization of best practices, and serving as a key link between the client & the project execution team.
• Few key projects include research studies on the construction chemicals market in UAE; strategic analysis of the decorative paints market segment for a global major paints manufacturer; techno-economic feasibility & market entry study for a fertilizer manufacturer for various product categories & segments.
