•• Prepared 426 development wells during the well planning and Well SORs preparation phase in collaboration with the geophysicists, reservoir engineers, Operation Geology & drilling teams.
• Prepared well objectives, well trajectories, target box, section Total Depth criteria and data acquisition programs for 426 development wells.
• Improved the resource description and quantities through geological model updates using well data acquired from development wells and seismic inversion results (BNNI and PVClay) from seismic reprocessing.
• Developed and maintained modelling workflows leading to volumetrics, and calibration to dynamic data in order to guide the geoscientists on modelling and calibration standards and hence reducing non-productive time spent on finding appropriate methodologies and workflows.
• Carried out geological and structural interpretations (lithologies, markers and net forecasts) and the associated uncertainties assessment before and during drilling operations to ensure the most appropriate positioning of drilling targets to safely deliver the wells and achieve their objectives.
• Participated in the baseline monitoring of the reservoir and cap rock integrity, and conducted opportunities screening, running scenarios to quantify uncertainty to support depletion planning and production optimization.
• Developed geological static reservoir models to understand structure, reservoir characterization and petroleum quality and quantity of the development field that UNOC is a partner.
• Developed reservoir management and surveillance programs in collaboration with the reservoir engineering and drilling teams and identified further opportunities to increase production.
• Evaluated and ranked exploration prospects in terms of resources, risks and uncertainties and suggested appropriate technical exploration and development programs.
• Developed Depositional Models and Well Correlation panels for reservoir characterization.
• Executed resource and reserves estimation, risk and uncertainty assessments on the current development fields to increase the company resource base and mitigate any risks.
• Developed extensive geoscience workflows and leveraged new reservoir modeling technologies and updates as part of business solutions to maximize the use of the data available to the company and maximize profit through improved resource base.
1. Geoscientist Schlumberger (Accra, Ghana / Abu Dhabi, UAE) 01/2016 -03/2018
Roles
• Assigned as Geologist to Tullow Oil, Ghana, responsible for the reservoir characterization, geomodelling, property modelling and well planning in all Tullow Oil, Ghana's offshore producing fields.
• Assigned also as a Reservoir Modeller, Basin Modeller and Petroleum Systems Geologist to Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) to do a Basin Analysis and Petroleum Systems study, prospect ranking and risking, and create an integrated reservoir model with volumetrics and uncertainty analysis calculated for GNPC’s offshore exploration blocks to increase the company's resource base.
• Assigned to Schlumberger Abu Dhabi to carry out Borehole Geology studies, structural interpretation and Geomodelling on carbonate fields in UAE, Oman, and other middle east projects. Carried out well planning and placement for these carbonate fields.
2. Geoscientist, Schlumberger (Luanda, Angola) 01/2015 - 03/2016
Roles:
• Assigned as Geologist to Sonangol, Angola, responsible for advanced carbonate reservoir characterization, geomodelling and carbonate Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) studies analysis and Carbonate Geomechanics as input to integrated reservoir development and management.
• Carried out well planning and placement for the carbonate fields in Angola ensuring correct picking of targets and real time model updates as wells are drilled with new well information acquired.
3. Geoscientist, Schlumberger (Kampala, Uganda) 01/2012- 01/2015
Roles:
• Assigned to Total Uganda, CNOOC limited and Tullow Uganda to create integrated reservoir models and develop respective Field Development plans for six fields in the Albertine Graben, Uganda, incorporating the geological models, structural interpretations, uncertainties with mitigations, proposed well plans and completions, facilities and reservoir monitoring plans.
• Built 1D, 2D and 3D Basin models of the Albertine Graben, Rift Valley and Ruvuma Basin, and identified, ranked and risked the prospects discovered using both geological and economic criteria.
• Divided the Albertine Graben into different license areas for the Uganda licensing round based on the prospects discovered and their characteristics, and data available.
• Responsible for compiling Geomodelling workflows for the company database to be applied to future projects to be carried out by the company.
• Responsible for setting up a training and development plan for geoscientists joining the company.
Assigned to review integrated reservoir geomodels models and prospective Field Development plans from the Petroleum Department of Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development for six fields in the Albertine Graben, Uganda, looking at the workflows applied to create the geological models, structural interpretations, and uncertainties identified with proposed mitigations.
