A dual responsibility role as General Manager of the mill / silo operation in Jebel Ali Free Zone & overall head of all the divisions’ supply chain activities. NFFPM is the UAE’s leading producer of animal feeds supplying ADFCA, Commercial Poultry / Dairy Farms, private farms and local municipalities.

• Took the initiative to lead the SAP go live having inherited a stalled implementation
• Used the SAP implementation to drive process improvement in month end close, production control / loss reduction and streamlining the purchase to pay flow
• Developed the master plans for both the businesses manufacturing sites and lead the 2 subsequent facility upgrade projects
• Re-negotiated the businesses tenancy agreements with both DP World & JAFZA
• Complete overhaul & re-organisation of the supply chain function introducing international best practices
• Implemented a grain trading agreement with international partners covering futures hedging, storage and shipping
• Managed the un-planned growth of 85% in year 1 and 32% in year 2 with minimal resource
• Installed daily, weekly, monthly planning processes where none existed resulting in service levels in excess of 98%
• Oversaw the growth in production at the Jebel Ali Plant of 4 fold when the perceived view was it couldn’t be done due to lack of storage facilities
• Managed the process to deliver a full Operational Fitness Certificate (OFC) from Trackees from a zero base and threat of closure
• Set up processes including SAP to handle major out source operations
• Responsible for the companies AED39m capital budget

Reporting to the chief operations officer and leading a team of 190 with 6 direct reports and a 3PL project manager accountable for all Nada’s supply chain operation covering Primary Logistics, Reverse Logistics, Materials Planning, Inventory Management, Warehousing and the Operations Function’s ERP champion.

• Took the lead and drove the implementation of the AX ERP system for supply chain and manufacturing.
• Set up supplier relationship programmes with all the major packaging suppliers including Tetra Pak and Plastico which have dramatically reduced inventories from 4 to 1 month and pushed up service levels to greater than 99.5%.
• Introduced a systemic integrated master production process for the planning of UHT products using demand replenishment replacing a dysfunctional and silo based legacy set up.
• Re-organised the business and material flows across the entire supply chain resulting in improved monitoring, detailed analysis, quicker response times and better utilisation of resources.
• Analysed the options, set up the tender process and negotiated the 3PL primary distribution contract that will lead to optimisation of the cold chain, allow for future expansion without incurring fixed overheads and reduces cost over the next 5 years by 15% on a spend of SAR20m per annum.
• Implemented strong processes to take control of pallets, crates, reverse logistics, branch service levels, daily material planning and company wide forecasting. Savings on crate losses have amounted to SAR0.5m and pallets of SAR0.35m

• Devised and presented the overall supply chain strategy that will now integrate all supply chain functions including purchasing.
• Developed and led the Nada Innovation Management (NIM) process for the introduction of major change projects such as new product launches and major engineering implementations.
• Led and managed the supply side of delivering significant Ramadan volume growth without any of the previous year’s service failures.
