Plant Manager of a new-build 3, 000MW CCGT power plant located south of Baghdad, next to Besmaya New City. Working with owner and EPC contractor, plant comprises 8 x GE 9FA duel fuel gas turbines, 8 x CMI double pressure HRSG's and 4 x GE C7 HP/LP steam turbines. Plant construction commenced early 2015 with completion planned for 2019. Multi-cultural O&M team comprises 118 members with support from local sub-contractors and vendors.
Responsible for Operations and Maintenance departments at Marafiq 2, 750MW / 800, 000m³ per day power and desalination plant in Jubail Industrial City, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. Plant consists 12 x GE Frame 7FA dual fuel gas turbines with Doosan HRSG's, 4 x GE SNCD1/D11 steam turbines and 27 SIDEM multi-effect desalination units. With a total site staffing of 242 employees plus contract support, the plant is one of the largest of its type in the world.
Power industry due diligence and consultancy work in the UK (Sutton Bridge CCGT), Abu Dhabi (Emirates Aluminium OCGT) and Saudi Arabia (Rabigh IWSPP).
Plant Manager of a 325MW CCGT power plant in Norfolk, UK. Plant comprises a Siemens V94.3A technology single shaft gas turbine, Siemens steam turbine and generator, with a CMI triple pressure HRSG. Plant was mothballed in April 2012 due to market competitiveness and high fuel gas prices.
Responsible for site maintenance and engineering teams incorporating discipline engineers and craft technicians. Provision of support to central engineering team for planning and implementation of outages, projects and development work including Siemens V94.3 gas turbine. Responsible for site maintenance budget circa £1m p/a and the effective and safe performance of the maintenance and engineering team.
Reporting to the Managing Director with responsibility for 8 department members plus support contractors to ensure adequate supply of LPG and natural gas imports, operational performance of LPG installations, and operation, engineering and maintenance of all Production Department assets in an economically efficient and safe manner.
Responsible for all plant maintenance activities on a new Alstom GT26A/B technology 753MW CCGT power plant from EPC construction and mobilisation through to operational phase. Implementation and execution of complete site warranty system through EPC contractor Bechtel, and administration and management of Long Term Service Agreement with power island supplier Alstom Power, as well as recruitment of Maintenance team, training, development of procedures etc.
Responsible for operation and maintenance of all electrical engineering aspects of a newly constructed Alstom GT26A technology 730MW CCGT power plant from EPC construction and mobilisation through to operational phase including LV systems through to 400kV transformers and substation equipment, and project and capital expenditure work up to £100k.
Site Senior Authorised Person and Electrical Engineer for 33kV, 11kV & 3.3kV distribution systems and coal-fired back pressure steam turbine power plant.

Design, installation and commissioning of power factor correction and harmonic filtration & detuning equipment. Customer enquiries, quotation/tender preparation, liaison and commercial work.
