Assist functional units, the Multi-Functional Team (MFT) and senior management to integrate participatory and community-based approaches in the overall protection strategy.
• Stay abreast of political, social, economic and cultural developments that have an impact on the protection environment and provide advice to the protection team.
• Assist in initiatives with host communities to involve national civil society groups in the protection of PoC.
• Support implementing and operational partners as well as displaced and local communities to develop community-owned activities to address, as well as child protection and prevention and response to GBV.
• Assist in the analysis that identifies the capacities of communities of concern and risks they face.
• Support participatory assessments by multifunctional teams and ongoing consultation with PoC.
• Support efforts to build the office capacity for community-based protection.
• Support communities in establishing representation and coordination structures.
• Collect data for monitoring of programmes and budgets from an AGD perspective.
• Assist in the enforcement of participatory AGD sensitive analysis as an essential basis for all of UNHCR's work.
• Identify and recommend which individuals or groups to prioritize for counselling and field visits based on agreed criteria.
• Enforce compliance of implementing partners with global protection policies and standards of professional integrity in the delivery of protection services.
Assist in the revision of the project log frame matrix, particularly in the areas of performance indicators
and their measurement.
• Assist in the development and/or finalization of the project Work Plan and keep it updated in accordance
with project activities and timeframes as relevant.
• Review the quality of existing data in the project subject areas, the methods of collecting it, and the degree
to which it will provide good baseline statistics for impact evaluation.
• Develop baseline data for each project component and for all project indicators.
• With collaborating partners, review their existing approaches and management information systems and
agree on any required changes, support and resources.
• Develop a plan for project-related capacity-building on M&E and for any computer-based support that
may be required.
Check, process and record all payments, administer invoices and expenses claims received, code items to
agreed budgets, and action payments
• Reconcile transactions on computer and bank statements and ensure that all accounts balance.
• Review budgets and expenditure as necessary with the Executive Director and preparing monthly reports and
other data required.
• Process wages payment to staff
• Maintain proper records for all the above on computer bookkeeping package and filing of all relevant
paperwork. Provide reports and information to HOD
