Health and Safety / Loss prevention Engineer:
•Worked and familiar with ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 standards.
•Preparing & updating project Health & Safety policy as per the project requirements.
•Monitoring the compliance of Health and Safety Policy and HSE Manual / Procedures of company in the Projects.
•Promoting positive safety culture in the organization, assessing the requirements and effectiveness of welfare facilities. Formulated Project Security Procedure and ensured the implementation of Security Management System.
•Assist higher authorities in formulating safety systems in line with statutory and technical requirements.
•Perform Risk Assessment on varies task i.e. excavation, reinforcement work (steel), heavy electrical equipment installations and commissioning, heavy structural steel erection, concreting-shuttering works and handling of hazardous substances, pre-cast installation, Erection & dismantling of Tower Crane, scaffoldings, working at height, MEP activities etc.
•Cooperating with the site safety officer in problem solving issues.
•Evaluate health and safety hazards, investigating incidents - near misses - record and report the same to management besides monitoring and reviewing.
•Responsible for hazard identification and control, conduct environment study and submit report to the management. Liaise with safety committee and statutory bodies. Managing all sub-contractors of the project to implement accepted health and safety practices.
•Conduct induction to Managerial & supervisory level/ personnel, identifying the learning and development needs of the organization by reviewing trend of incidents; prepared permits to work procedures.
•Conduct regular safety inspection-audits; impart HSE training on safety subjects and emergency procedures. Monitor the effectiveness of mock drill.
•Benchmark safety performance in many perspectives. Conduct Safety meetings to Managerial & supervisory level.
•Prepare, control and implement the project safety plan and procedures in line with the requirements of company policy, statutory bodies and customer with the assistance of line management.
•Monitor-report, safety statistics in order to identify the trends & areas requiring more attention for risk reduction & improvement.
•Compiling and reviewing safety performance statistics, initiate actions for improvement, set safety targets.
•Engaged in marine job (beach development & construction).
•Maintained coordination between client, consultant & main contractor.
•Fulfilling clients & consultant HSE requirements with coordination with main contractor.
•Preparing project Environmental management System (EMS) policy.
•Working simultaneously with LEED & BREEAM.
Achievements:
Succeeded in controlling incidents & achieved the “NO LOST TIME INJURY RECORD” against Two Million man-hours during the tenure of the working with M/S Arabian Construction Company as Safety Officer in Emirates Palace Hotel Project, Abu Dhabi and awarded for Outstanding Job Performance by Turner International Ltd (Project Management).
Successfully managed to achieve “One Million Lost Time accident Free man-hours” in Central Market Re-Development Project, Abu Dhabi and awarded for Outstanding Job Performance by Alder International Ltd. (Project Management), during the tenure of the working with M/S Arabian Construction Company as Safety Engineer.
Achieved the record of “Seven Million Lost Time Injury Free man-hours” in Rosewood Hotel project Construction during the tenure of work with M/S Arabian Construction Company as Safety Engineer (Sr.)
Achieved the record of “Ten Million Lost Time Injury Free man-hours” in Lebanon Water Front City project Construction during the tenure of work with M/S Arabian Construction Company as PROJECT HSE MANAGER.
