Roles & Responsibilities:

❖ Strategic Planning and Execution:
Delivering buying and sales plans. Formulating business unit strategy.
Implementing effective succession planning. Launching brand propositions effectively. Formulating annual business plans aligned with customer preferences.
Implementing strategic buying approaches and optimizing market opportunities.

❖ Sales and Margin Optimization:
Constantly seeking business opportunities to increase sales and cash margin.
Leading and managing merchandisers to plan appropriate sales, cash margin, and space.
Ensuring effective Open-To-Buy (OTB) planning and e-Commerce buy.
Overseeing core stock, fashion newness, and controlled markdown spend.

❖ Team Leadership and Development:
Leading and managing the merchandising team. Planning, managing, and leading the team for trade fairs and trends.
Guiding the merchandising team in utilizing trade planning tools.
Engaging the team with relevant objectives and providing continuous feedback and development opportunities.
Role modeling values and ensuring high engagement scores and succession plans.

❖ Market Analysis and Competitive Positioning: Establishing market awareness by monitoring competitor performance and trends.
Engaging in quarterly comp shops and market visits to drive a competitive price position.
Building strong relationships with finance, operations, visual merchandising, and marketing teams.
Engaging with key stakeholders to drive business unit objectives and conducting engaging seasonal briefs.

❖ Communication and Execution: Ensuring effective communication and execution of promotional strategies.
