In 1994, I got my BA degree in Sociology and in 2008, I got my PhD degree in Special Education from the University of Jordan. I started working in the field of Early Childhood Special Education in 1994 as a teacher at Aldhya Kindergarten for children with visual impairment, and then as a technical supervisor at the same kindergarten. In 1997 I worked as a coordinator for Portage Project in Jordan, and my responsibility was to supervise the field work all over Jordan. In 1999 I became a trainer for the Portage Project and I trained many employees in the Arab world through Queen Zain Al-Sharaf Institute and I established the first inclusion project for Portage preschoolers in Jordan. I also trained many employees in VIISA, Portage, Inclusion in many Arab countries like Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Syria, Palestine, Yemen, Lebanon, Oman, United Arab Emirates and Kuwait (you can read more about my role in VIISA- one of UTAH state university early intervention projects- through the following link http://www.cpdusu.org/featuredstories/training%202/ ).
I worked as part time instructor in the University of Jordan, Hashemite University, and Balqa University, I also provided training and consultancies to many foundations and councils in the Arab World (National Council for Family Affairs/Jordan, Higher Council for Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, Handicap International/Jordan Office, UNRWA, Said Foundation/Syria, Amal Foundation/Syria, Women Committee/Hayel-Saudi Arabia, Alnour Institute/Qatar, Social Fund for Development/Yemen, Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation/ Palestine). I worked from October 2012 to March 2015 as Childhood Director at the National Council for Family Affairs which is a civil society organization presided by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, NCFA is an umbrella organization that supports, coordinates and facilitates the work of its partners and relevant institutions which are involved and influential in the field of family affairs. Through NCFA I play a role in establishing and renovating many Nurseries in women work places to insure the right of women to work in safe and comfortable situations and one of the most important nurseries was the nursery of Royal Medical Services (for more information please see http://www.jordantimes.com/news/local/queen-rania-visits-cr%C3%A8che-royal-medical-services ).
