• Tasks involve making sure that system and database backups are taken regularly through TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager) as per the schedule to ensure continuity and restoration in case of system failures. The operators in the DR site will be responsible for restoring backups in the Disaster Recovery site as planned or when required
• Notify all operational related incidents to IT Operations Manager, Service Delivery Manager and application Support Manager.
• Daily backup monitoring, TSM Backup reports & Backup tape movement and storage.
• Resolution of REMEDY cases logged under IT Operations as per agreed turnaround times
• Monthly Inventory and Report on Offsite Media Storage at Metro file
• Ensuring all logs and Procedure manuals are up-to-date (e.g. Shift Run Sheets, IT Procedure Manual, Emergency Checklist, Incident Mailing List, Escalation Matrix)
• Implementation of Layer 2 & Layer 3 Switches and Routers, Firewall &Security Appliance to the clients as per the requirement.
• Responsible for network evaluations, troubleshooting a variety of network problems.
• Follow Operational procedures for day to day work as per customer needs.
• Work on improving the Data Center Services(UPS maintenance, Rack & Inventory Management, Testing of cables (OTDR))
• Responsible for creating a comprehensive Datacenter vision and road-map for enhanced customer experience.

• Performing network and Operating system (Windows, Linux and UNIX) operations as per requirement.

• Performing Batch Jobs & Mainframe Backups on Daily, Weekly and Monthly Basis using EMC Backup & Storage.

• Purchasing of HVAC Materials(Units: Chillers, CHW Pump, FCU, AHU, GI Duct, Pre-insulated duct, Grills, Diffusers, Dampers, Ventilation Fans)

Network Operations Responsibilities
• Commissioning of new Customer links from BSO and extending till router end by using Modem like RAD, ASSCOM, PATTON, CTC converters,
• Testing of links by using all the basic configuration activities in the end-to-end routers,
• Testing of new E1, DS3, STM1 on both Backbone & Gateway Links by using basic router configuration,
• Providing the Support for new link commissioning & new Equipment Installation to the NOC,
• Providing the L1 & Physical support for NOC,
• Providing the Test loop from the BSO Mux at the time of links down
• First level escalation for network outage.
• Troubleshooting of links up to a maximum down time of 30 minutes.
• Testing of new routers before bringing into production. Worked with Cisco 2500, 2600, 7200, 12000 series routers etc.
• Coordinating the BSO for find the Root cause, & updating in Internal TAC,
• Working with Cisco switches of Networks, Configuring the Vlans, Maintained critical spares in the NOC and ensured quality of the spares.
