Principal Accountabilities (duties) Performed:
1-To perform a variety of quantitative and qualitative laboratory tests and analysis of gas, hydrocarbon, chemicals, water and various other substances, in accordance with established testing methods and instructions.
2-Having knowledge of investigative studies, commissioning of new facilities, troubleshooting and innovative approaches to problem solving.
3-Ensuring that all products are properly identified, segregated and dis-positioned as per documented procedure.
4-To obtain process and utility unit samples in conformance with Company, HSE and International Standards and practices.
5-To promptly report and investigate any deviations from expected results or documented procedures.
13-Knowledge and experience of gas & oil separation operations (GOSP's), oilfield chemicals usage.
7-To take responsibility and support for deliver training and assessment in support of junior staff development.
8-To assist with investigations into abnormal test performance or manufacturing abnormalities, providing input to such working groups as necessary.
9-To analyze, compute and record sample test data and results, using computer controlled laboratory apparatus and instruments in conjunction with the integrated LIMS automatic data transfer system.
10-Use of Computerized Laboratory Information System (LIMS) and Business Object reporting software.
12-To comply with all relevant Material safety Data Sheet (MSDS) regulations, in the performance of all activities.

• Follows standard test methods wet chemistry techniques and state-of-the-art technology, in conjunction with sophisticated, computerized Laboratory equipment requiring computer literacy, special skills, care and experience, for plant control, quality control, product certification, corrosion control etc.
• Having knowledge of investigative studies, commissioning of new facilities, troubleshooting and innovative approaches to problem solving. Obtain process and utility unit samples in conformance with Company.
• To conduct all client project work to a high a standard following internal policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with the Quality System. This includes the timely, complete and clear documentation of laboratory work in laboratory notebooks and the timely completion of all necessary project administration.

Preparation of solutions:
(Standard Soln, ppm Soln, ppb Soln Molar Soln, Normal Soln, Buffer solution, Reagent Soln, Indicators & their standardization involving classical chemical methods, titrimetric and gravimetric in Accordance with laboratory’s Operating Procedures, Polices and the principals of good control laboratory practice.
Utilities Analysis:
(Soft water, Cooling Water, Chilled Water, R.O.Water, Demi Water, Boiler Water, Natural water, Tab water) online production and finished products analysis to identify the water nature and source to predict corrositivity, scaling tendency and incompatibility with other waters, density, pH, alkalinity, sulphite, TDS, resistively and cations to identify the type of water and its source to predict scaling tendency.

Complete analysis of Soft water, Cooling Water, Chilled
Water, R.O.Water, Demi Water, Boiler Water, Natural water, Fresh water & Sea water by titration & instrumentation method Involving
Oil Analysis:
Analysis of petroleum additives (pb & Sb), Gasoline, Gas Oil (Ni, Cu & Fe), Fuel oil (Na & pb), Lubricating oil for wear metals (Al, Cr, Cu, Fe, Pb, Mg, Ni, Si, Ca, Ba, Sn, Ag &Zn).
Gas Analysis (Purity of Chlorine, Oxygen and Hydrogen) by R-Set apparatus.·
Performs complete sediment of scales, sediments . corrosion products and suspended solid and including sox helt extraction, total organic matter, chloride, carbonate sulphate, calcium iron, barium etc.
Assess under field conditions the performance of acid formulae supplied by contractors to optimize additives content and check their compatibility with the oil.
Perform percentage chlorine determination for sodium hypochlorite solution.
Calibration of Glass Were, pH meter, Microwave Oven, Analytical Balance, Pan Balance, Thermometers and Muffle Furnaces.
