• Responsible for Technical Management and daily operations of maintenance and repair, budgeting, survey schedules, onboard general assessment of vessels, inspections and docking, etc of RTA fleet (Dubai Ferries, Water Taxis).
• Responsible for the Preparation of the Contracts - Technical SOW for RTA Marine Fleet Maintenance.
• Deputy DPA and Internal auditor for ISM of RTA ferries.
• Responsible for the scheduling the annual plan as per the PMS system & repair specification of dry docking, maintenance (CM, PM & Predictive Maintenance) and attending vessel dry docking, repairs, surveys etc. when required.
• Responsible for the Budgeting of repairs, dry docking etc. in the most economical manner and approval of Invoices of the RTA Marine fleet as per the actual work done activities.
• Responsible for in-house maintenance team and their expansion as per requirements along with Workshop tools and equipments.
• Responsible for Technical analysis on Fuel consumption, Maintenance cost, cruising speed etc. on the new proposed routes.
• Responsible for all the Technical Maintenance Meetings & Correspondence of the Marine fleet between RTA and Contractor.
• Assist in incident, accident and insurance claims.
• Responsible for the coordination with Classification Society (BV) to adhere to the IMO regulations.
• Meticulously maintaining records pertaining to entire work schedule and documenting as per the ISO Asset Management 55000 requirements.
• Monitor fleet technical KPI (Key Performance Indicator), fleet repairs etc.
• Responsible for Preparing & Monitoring the Critical Spare part inventory, tools etc.
• Responsible for the machining, assembly & quality assurance of the Marine mechanical products.
• Process scheduling, production planning, subcontract scheduling and meeting the completion of products on time.
• Prepare MTO & liaise with clients on Marine material selection/replacement and approve the same for procurement (material procurement RFQ & coordinating with procurement department.)
• Managing & controlling the workforce, foreman & supervisors.
• To issue operating processes that governs production process from raw materials to finished products.
• To prepare & present weekly and monthly production reports.
• Good knowledge on reconditioning and various operations involved to attain OEM standards of marine engines, pumps, gear boxes, various marine equipment, etc.
• Proactive communication with clients on order progress status.
• Dispatch planning.
• Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.
• To implement proper Health, Safety & Environment practices & create its awareness & importance among the workforce.
• Overall in charge of Air Compressors, Purifiers, Boilers, Pumps & other machineries.
• Planning and effecting preventive maintenance schedules of Machinery’s to increase machine up time / equipment reliability.
• Carrying out Trouble Shooting of the machineries.
• Carrying out Periodic Maintenance, Yearly Maintenance.
• Developing operation procedures in compliance with set guidelines by Manufacturer.
• Plan & monitor the standard preventive maintenance of the machines.
• Quality checking & validation of the spares.
• Coordinating with maintenance staff as a part of isolation and restoration procedure of preventive, breakdown and emergency maintenance system.
• Maintains the machineryreports and other records; monitor measures and coordinates with the Chief Engineer.

• Trained under the various activities performed in the factory i.e. mangling, shot blasting, cutting and forming, sub assembly and grand assembly.
• Theoretical& technical training on the entire Main Engine System, Auxillary Engine Systems, boilers, Compressors, various pumps and various machineries.
• Technically trained for troubleshooting various machineries.
• Trained and certified with various safety and fire fighting courses under STCW.
• Trained and certified in Electronic Main engines.
• Prepare production drawings of claddings and aluminium structures using CAD.
• Draft and prepare detailed drawings coordinating with constructors and engineers on projects.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances with accurate precision.
• Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements on site.
• Suggest design solution according to conceptual details and requirements.
• Maintain the standard system specifications.
Holder of a Certificate of Competency as Marine Engineer for FG (Foreign going) vessels issued by Directorate General Shipping of India. Holds advanced STCW certificates. Good knowledge on machining of metals and reconditioning of marine equipment as per OEM standards
