In an effort to make credit card information more transparent to consumers and to prohibit the use of unfair lending practices by financial institutions, the Government of Canada through Finance issued new legislation for all federally regulated financial institutions regarding credit and lending practices (including the applicability of some of those changes to our affiliates that issue cards in Canada such as VCF Inc.)
The new legislation involves Amendments to the Cost of Borrowing Regulations and the introduction of the new Credit Business Practices Regulations. The new legislated regulatory changes will be implemented using a phased approach where certain provisions came into force in January 2010 and others in September 2010.
This project will ensure that TD Canada Trust is legally compliant with all the newly mandated government regulations as they relate to the TD Credit Card portfolio within the timeframes defined by the Government of Canada.
Responsibilities:

• Involved in Functional Testing, Regression Testing and Data Management
• Primarily been responsible in identifying the Test scenarios for the functional testing based on the High Level design document.
• Worked in a team of 4 resources
• Developed a process document for Data management by getting inputs from other team members. The purpose of this document is for any new joiner the data management activity will be easily understandable

Project 1: Strategic - Payment Protected Insurance(PPI)
Description:
The aim of the Strategic PPI Project is to provide the following:
• Consistency and Control - Provide a consistent approach to PPI sales and systems based controls across all clusters and sales channels.
• Real-time Underwriting - Deliver an underwriting decision before the lending product sales process is complete in the sales channel.
• Tailored Product Launch - Replace the existing product propositions with one which more closely fits the customers’ insurance protection needs.
The Product Integration Test (PIT) phase is an end-to-end test of the business requirements across all applications and platforms to prove a fully integrated solution. The scope of this test effort is to prove the changes being introduced as part of Strategic PPI Release 1: Phase 1 is working as Consistency and Control - Provide a consistent approach to PPI sales and systems based controls across all clusters and sales channels.
Project 2: LRP3 Porting and Account Servicing(PAS)
Description:
The Application Deployment and Infrastructure Renewal (ADIR) programme goal is to enable SBU transformation in line with the Core UK vision through the definition, execution and delivery of customer and user centric sales and service solutions to UK Retail Channels.
Legacy Replacement is necessary to achieve this goal. The current infrastructure and application suite is ageing and is using obsolete technology that is costly to maintain. A new Strategic Chordiant Single Stack infrastructure has been implemented to support the Banks strategic vision. This release will develop a ported set of Account Servicing functions using the single stack Architecture.
The key objectives of this project are to:
• Deliver like for like customer ID&V for account servicing functionality
• Migrate the complete “Account Servicing” menu on Customer System for Front Office personal branch staff
• Deliver the release with a minimum impact on business change, utilising the “light touch” Business Change approach, building on what has been started with the Account Enquiries Release
• Follow the “porting approach” but use refinements/lessons learnt from Release 1 (Account Enquiries) and Release 2 (PDP BCIS Migration)
