A) Planning: -Reviews analyze plans and coordinates all activities within the fabrication stages.
-Liaising among different departments, e.g. Warehouse, QC Dept., Engineering Dept., and Project Dept.
-Ensuring the availability of the raw materials with efficient feeding to the first stage of fabrication by proper planning and coordination with the store manager.
-Accountable for forecasting and planning of overhead expenditures and approving all factory purchase requisitions as well as amendments to supplier agreements.
-Reviews scope changes, additional works or reworks and initiates revision orders/change orders.
B) Setting Standard: -continuous reviewing and refining of department policies and processes.
-Study sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
C) Technical: -Solve technical issues related to fabrication drawing by communicating with the engineering dept. and referring to the standard or client specification..
D) Production Progress:- Monitor the workflow, analyze bottlenecks, and provide technical solutions to prevent any delay in production.
-Checking the daily progress on each job order and comparing it to the plan.
-Supervise and direct the assembly works (Fit up), eliminating any delay that might happen, ensuring smooth movement of materials between the stages.
-Workload allocation over stations based on the capacity of every station.
E ) Quality: -Inspects work in progress and finished materials to see that quality and quantity standards are complied with.
F) Team Building: -structuring, resourcing, and recruiting technical teams for active projects.
-Employee skill development, problem-solving and resolution, building employee commitment and ownership and holding employees accountable.
G) Safety: -Establishing safety procedures and protocols that take the workers' well-being into account.
Create a preliminary production schedule and discuss it with the production team before finalizing the Master Production Schedule (MPS)
Initiate the work on the job order according to the sequence provided in
the MPS.
Issue the raw materials for the job order according to the sequence
provided in the MPS.
Workload distribution over the CNC machines, and measuring the productivity accordingly.
Coordinate with warehouse, engineering, production, and quality to ensure the schedule gets back on track when issues arise.
Generate planned vs actual reports on a weekly basis and provide feedback to the production team on the required routing time adjustments
Reports daily production progress and monitors production man-hours
and productivity.
Analyzing production data to identify and resolve any production issues
Review of technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams (including using computer-aided drafting (Auto-Cad), developing clear specifications, Bills of Quantities and Scope of Works, and work plan as required.
Provide a nesting plan for the cutting process to utilize the raw materials.
Plan the raw materials arrival schedule (ETA), by coordinating with procurement, production, and project departments.
Supporting the procurement of goods or services required for the project, raising Purchase Requests, and preparing Goods Received Notes (GRNs).
Documenting all paperwork for each project and task, (Work plan, Daily register sheets, handing over forms, Estimated BOQs, Design sheets.
Keeping all stock above the minimum, to insure keeping the operation functional all the time, and in case of an emergency.
