Managing the Electronic Cheque Clearing system and all its integration with the banking systems and preparing proposals, solution architectures and responding to RFPs. A member in the Software Change Control Board (SCCB) in the company to discuss new change requests from the customers, analyzing them and giving recommendations. Managing the Software Development life cycle (SDLC) for the product related project and its integrations with the banking systems, and providing recommendations and consultation for the banks on the best approach to be used for integration (e.g.: Message queues, web services, TCP/IP, etc.) based on my 10+ years in this field.
Define the product strategy and roadmap for the Signature Verification system which is now up and running in almost 100 banks in many countries and I was managing a team of 20 developers.
Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
Managing a team of 5 programmers and reviewing their code and test plan for validity and efficiency. Involved in the total development cycle of the projects given to me from the design till the implementation stage. Took care of quality aspects in the code developed by me and the supervised team. The projects were using programming language C, C++ that ran on multiple platforms.
Converting and compiling the system using Micro focus COBOL from WANG platform to Sun Solaris platform. I was responsible for converting and compiling operational modules.
