1) Cold & Hot Commissioning activities for 3 blocks
of (1 X GE Frame 9HA.01 GTs coupled with
ALSTOM make Triple Pressure, Horizontal type
Unfired HRSGs & 1 X GE ALSTOM make Reheat
type Steam turbine) & associated BOP
equipment.
2) Review and provide comments with respect to
acceptance test procedures including start-up,
commissioning, reliability and performance test
procedures submitted by the EPC contractor.
3) Attend weekly meeting with the EPC
contractor’s commissioning group. Participate in
preparation & review of the various punch lists.
4) Prepare Defect lists from field & Operational
observations. Perform and participate in job
safety briefings, safety reviews and site safety
walk downs.
5) Monitor and witness the plant start-up & various
commissioning tests (including OEL, UEL,
Exciter step test, Dead bus synch, Dummy
SYNCH etc) in close coordination with existing
ALBA power stations.
6) Attend TOP (Turn over Package) walk downs for
construction to commissioning handover &
commissioning to operation handover. Conduct
site walk down to review instruments
provisions, data collection and gathering of
necessary plant drawings.
7) Monitoring & Working closely with EPC
contractors on troubleshooting any
trips/malfunctions/abnormal observations
during Cold/Hot commissioning phase &
working on solutions.
8) Ensuring execution of daily work schedule
(including LOTO) by supervising work permit
preparation & issue for maintenance &
contractors. Preparing Operation work action
plan including Safety, Qualification Plan,
Procedures, Quality & Commissioning work
elements & updating Operation dashboard
regularly. Participating in Operation
preparedness activities for plant operation after
COD.

performance in operations and HSE excellence.
1) Hot Commissioning & Handover activities for 5
blocks of (3 X GE Frame 7FA.04 GTs coupled
with DOOSAN make Triple Pressure, Vertical
type Unfired HRSGs & 1 X GE make D11 heavy
duty Steam turbine) & associated BOP
equipment.
2) Increase unit optimization hence plant
profitability, participating in development &
revision of site procedures, leading and
supervising shift team personnel, contributing in
site safety performance improvement through
job/work safety analysis, safety observations,
audits, organizing safety meeting & training,
participating in emergency response
coordination & preparation.
3) Preparing & executing ‘Training & development’
programs for new OJT (On job trainees), existing
personnel including local operators, CRO (panel
operators) & ASE (Asst Shift Engineers).
Organizing weekly/ monthly safety & technical
training sessions.
4) Coordinating tests for plant performance
analysis along with performance tests,
identification and implementation of
improvement projects, monitoring of plant
operating efficiency. Monitor energy
consumption within the plant, work towards
achieving the required energy targets in line
with best engineering practices & industry
standards.
5) Ensuring execution of daily work schedule by
supervising work permit issue and completion
via the SAP based WCM module. Played key role
in successful migration of manual PTW system to
SAP based Work Clearance Management.
Preparation of Pilot Work clearance documents
& implementation of Lock out Tag out (LOTO)
schemes.
6) Suggesting & developing plans to reduce energy
consumption & hence improve the plant
efficiency metrics. Maintaining adequate
records for data analysis & identifying
improvement opportunities.
7) Troubleshooting operational difficulties,
evaluating & reviewing plant/equipment
performance, achieve targeted plant availability,
& suggest relevant measures to extend plant life.
1) Supervise the operation of the Captive power
plant with steam load @ 540 TPH & power load
@ 160 MWH. Prepare daily performance
summaries to monitor plant by studying
laboratory test reports, log sheets and other
daily operating activity reports, and highlight
abnormalities & suggest corrective actions.
2) Worked as a Lead Engineer, closely with central
energy group to identify & execute
improvements in furnace optimization, steam
traps optimization, insulation thickness
optimization etc.
3) Served as Team leader for Process Hazard
Analysis (PHA), a part of DuPont Process Safety
Management.
4) Prepared various Field Change Orders (FCO) for
any change of technical nature to streamline the
existing processes or to adapt to new process /
update in technology as per best engineering
practices.
5) Worked in an environment complying with ISO
9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 50001,
BSC (British Safety Council) standards, DuPont
safety standards.
