Responsible in setting up new medical equipment machines and conducting pre-delivery inspection prior to installation at location
-Installation; commissioning; ppm and repair/service - Install, adjust, maintain, and/or repair biomedical equipment. Evaluate, negotiate and manage service contracts.
- Provide engineering and technical expertise on all matters related to medical technology, especially in the process of planning, review, evaluation, and specification of medical equipment;
- Develop and provide a comprehensive in-service education program on the safe and effective use of medical equipment for both medical and nursing staff.
- Conduct technical training to team members and endusers when required.
- Write accurate professional reports on technical issues and interfacing with all involved functions.
- Report and escalate all observed incidents, irregularities that occur through proper operational escalation points.
- Evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical equipment.
- Ensure that all medical equipment is properly maintained and documented.
- Develop and implement short and long term strategies for the development and direction of the department to effectively manage medical equipment and technology in the clinics.
- Minimize, investigate and rectify hazard risks associated with medical equipment use.
- With minimal supervision, evaluate progressively complex, enduser biomedical equipment issues, implement appropriate repairs; as assigned, perform planned maintenance (PM), safety and environmental inspections and maintain effective customer relations. Follow appropriate policies, procedures, hospital protocol and complete necessary documentation.
- Maintain daily communications with endusers and Internally, to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to enduser satisfaction.
- Assist more and less experienced technicians on basic and complex repairs /resolution respectively. Work as a member of local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within assigned area. When trained, share on-call / pager responsibility. - Document all Installation/commissioning/repair actions and submit reports/summaries according to schedule. Ensure proper care of spares, tools and test equipment and ensure calibration. Maintain approved parts inventory.
- Meet Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety requirements and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties within the scope of the job and its technical capacity
Job Profile includes Trouble-shooting, repair and calibration of Fukuda ECG machines, Vitalogragh spirometers, Welch Allyn Monitors and Engle Dental Chairs .
Includes demonstration, updation of User and demonstration.
Trouble-shooting, repair & maintenance of Dialysis machines such as Fresenius, Althin & Gambro.
· Maintenance of Reverse Osmosis Plant of Culligan Technology
· Periodical tests and procedures carried out for maintenance of Water purity as per AAMI standard.

· Repair, Periodical Calibration & Maintenance of both Pre-configured & Modular types of Monitors.
· Troubleshooting of Multi-parameter Modules & Single parameter modules. Ethernet & TCP/IP networking of Spacelabs monitors (central & patient), Capnographs &Multigas Analyzers.
· Repair & Calibration of Ventilators namely Siemens, Puritan &Bennett 7200, Hamilton, Drager Evita & Bear.
· Repair of Patient Warmer Machines namely Bair Hugger & Infant Warming Systems.
· Repair & Troubleshooting of Surgical Diathermies namely Erbe, L&T, Valleylab & Bard.
· Repair, Periodical Calibration & Maintenance of Defibrillators namely Physiocontrol9B & S&W.
· Repair & Maintenance of Anaesthesia equipments namely Boyle Tec, Drager & Heyer.
· Repair & maintenance of Dialysis machines such as Fresenius, Cobe& Nipro.
· Co-ordination with company engineers for installation, service, maintenance & AMCs of Medical & Diagnostic Machines.
· Training the end user to operate & maintain the equipments and its accessories.
· Co-ordination of technicians & lower cadre staff to various jobs, departments depending upon the nature and priority of the breakdown.
· Training of Allied Health & Nursing students on the theory of operation. Application & usage of equipments
· Co-ordination with Companies for Equipment insurance.
· Trouble-Shooting, Repair &Power distribution of U.P.S to various Life- supporting & therapeutic equipments.
· Management of Company's customer support & A.M.Cs.
