• Ensure adequate staffing and training of the required HSE resources.
• Serve as a technical resource to provide direction on HSE policies/procedures, and for interpreting regulations and compliance requirements.
• Assist in providing strategic direction and management, people development, and HSE program development and implementation.
• .Manage the HSE program at a client’s facility for a sustaining services contract
• Support all HSE initiatives
• Provide support to the employees by maintaining a visible presence in the field
• Communicate, coach and assist project leadership to ensure HSE expectations are understood and met
• Audit worksite and observe employees to determine compliance with respective HSE policies and procedures
• Prepare reports of audit findings to include recommendations for corrective actions
• Prepare and maintain records, reports and correspondence relative to the job
• Develop and deliver HSE training to ensure regulatory and procedural compliance
• Assess HSE program performance and identify trends through data analysis
• Facilitate incident investigations with project leadership to determine root cause and corrective action
• Coordinate injury case management per established protocols
• Monitor strict compliance of “Permit to Work” system at worksite & explain the importance the same to the workers.
• Prepare and update emergency and other HSE procedures
• Carry out internal safety audits.
• Investigate health and safety related complaints.
• Provide advice regarding the development of safe and healthy practices.
• Carry out risk assessment for various activities.
• Liaison with sub-contractors in order to ensure awareness of health related safety requirements
• Ensure implementation of local rules and regulation in accordance with local law.
• Encourage managers, supervisors and employees to participate in occupational health and safety programs
• Attend safety meeting with the client.
• Observe the activity and make appropriate corrective actions on possible hazards that will arise.
• Responsible for helping the company to promote safe and healthy working condition to maintain quality production.
• Conduct safety orientation to the workers prior to deploy or mobilized in site.
• Prepare and submit monthly safety report, which include safety orientation of workers, toolbox meeting, monthly fire extinguisher inspection report and safety weekly report.
• Conduct weekly toolbox meeting.
• Investigate health and safety related complaints.
• Provide advice regarding the development of safe and healthy practices.
• Encourage managers, supervisors and employees to participate in occupational health and safety programs.
• Investigate workplace fatalities, serious injuries and near misses.
